As the Tyranitars had the standoff of who had the better and louder roar, Gladion stared at the six Tyranitar blocking the path.
Each one was massive but still felt like toddlers compared to his own Collosus.
It showed how much his alpha general had altered him and make him different than the others of his species.
The six tyranitors had their eyes glowed with rage. He grimaced. Fighting all six would take too long. Every minute wasted here meant more wild Pokémon would surround them again. Their progress would mean nothing if they got stuck.
Besides, if the tyranitors managed to hold them even for a couple minutes, other Pokemon from the beast tide would reach them and start assassinating them.
Most of his team was already busy holding back the endless tide on the sides and in the air. Only Collosus, Ultron, and Elder Green were free.
Three against six was bad. Especially when the six were pseudo legendaries and Metagross psychic type would not work well against the dark typing of a Tyranitar.
Collosus needed to save energy for Moltres. Gladion could not let him take heavy damage now.
He decided quickly. There was no perfect answer. They had to fight their way through without taking too much damage as well as time.
Gladion gave no order to stop. The entire army kept charging straight at the six giants. Collosus was in the lead.
The opposite tyranitors waited for them to reach them.
"Collosus, Iron Defense. Stack it as high as you can," Gladion ordered.
A silver sheen spread across Collosus's rocky hide. Layer after layer of metal strength built up while he ran.
'This should ensure that he does not take lot of damage and is left mostly unarmed. But I doubt that would be the case. I would have to use some moves that harm him as well if I don't want to wait too much time dealing with them.' Gladion thought
The old general rode up beside him on his Arcanine. "Brat, I will take two of them. Just separate the group for me."
Gladion had forgotten he was not alone. The army and the general were right here with him. He smiled. It was good to have some support and he had no doubt that the general would be able to hold down two wild tyranitors and even defeat them with his team. He was a fucking general after all and he had fought with his Pokemon for decades.
Four Tyranitar became much more manageable for Gladion. He just needed a way to seperate them so that both he and general can fight their respective opponents easily.
He thought fast. Earthquake would shake everyone, friend and enemy alike. He did not need something that would stop the charge of the enemy. He needed something smarter.
"Collosus, Stone Edge right down the middle!"
Collosus roared and slammed one huge foot into the ground. Giant pointed rocks shot up in a perfect straight line between the six Tyranitar. The rocks were taller than houses and sharp as spears.
The Tyranitar had no choice. They jumped away from the rising stones. Three went left. Three went right.
Perfect split.
Ultron's eyes flashed blue. He focused everything he had and pushed one Tyranitar from the right group even farther right. Dark typing made it resist psychic power, so Ultron had to pour all his strength into the move. The single Tyranitar stumbled away from its friends.
Now it was four against two for Gladion, and two against the general.
The general laughed loudly and charged with his team toward his two targets.
Gladion floated off Elder Green's back using telekinesis.
Elder Green flew straight at one Tyranitar. Razor-sharp glowing leaves shot from his wings. Magical Leaf spun and sliced into the rock hide.
Ultron faced another Tyranitar. He fired a bright silver Flash Cannon. The steel beam hit the Tyranitar square in the chest and sent it sliding backward.
Collosus met the last two head-on. They were the biggest of the six, though still smaller than the alpha. One male, one female. They bellowed and tackled Collosus together.
Collosus planted his feet. Iron Defense shone bright. The impact barely moved him. He stood like a mountain.
Gladion saw his chance seeing both tyranitors upclose with Collosus.
"Dark Pulse, point blank!"
Collosus opened his mouth wide. Black-purple energy exploded outward in a giant ring. It swallowed all three Tyranitar at once.
When the darkness cleared, the two wild Tyranitar had cracks in their armour and blood on their mouths. Collosus stood untouched thanks to Iron Defense.
Collosus reached out with both massive hands. He grabbed the male Tyranitar by the neck and lifted him high. Then he smashed the skull straight into the ground. Rock split. Dust flew. The male stopped moving.
The female Tyranitar should have attacked in rage. Instead she sniffed the air. She walked closer to Collosus. She lowered her head and licked his rocky arm gently.
Collosus did not know what to do in this situation as he looked helplessly at Gladion.
Gladion stared in complete confusion. "Umm, does this Tyranitar have a crush on Collosus or something? Did Collosus smashing her mate lead to her falling in love with him?"
