Chapter 169 - The Gift of Courage

Scene 1: Sunday Evening in the Living Room

The aroma of freshly brewed tea lingered in the air as the family settled into their Sunday evening routine. After dinner, the living room buzzed with the excitement of the ongoing Football World Cup match. Imran, Ayesha's husband and Irfan's elder brother, sat comfortably on the couch, eyes glued to the television screen.

Irfan: "Bhai, may I join you?"

Imran: "Of course, Irfan. Come, sit. This match is turning out to be quite the thriller."

Irfan settled beside his brother, trying to focus on the game. But his mind was elsewhere, thoughts swirling around a particular someone.

Scene 2: The Unspoken Words

As the match progressed, Imran noticed Irfan's restlessness. He seemed distracted, his gaze occasionally drifting away from the screen.

Imran: "Irfan, everything alright? You seem a bit off tonight."

Irfan: "Yes, Bhai. Just... thinking about work."

Imran: "Speaking of work, how's your job going? Settling in well at Microsoft?"

Irfan: "It's going well. The team is supportive, and the projects are challenging but rewarding."

Imran: "That's good to hear. And what about your responsibilities? Are you leading any projects yet?"

Irfan: "Not leading, but I'm part of a core team developing a new software solution. It's exciting."

Imran: "Excellent. And on a more personal note, have you thought about marriage? Do you have someone in mind, or should we start looking for a suitable match?"

Irfan hesitated, the question hitting close to his heart. He took a deep breath, deciding it was time to share his feelings.

Irfan: "Bhai, there's someone. Maryam. I... I love her. But I don't know how to express my feelings to her."

Scene 3: Brotherly Advice

Imran smiled, placing a reassuring hand on Irfan's shoulder.

Imran: "Love is a beautiful feeling, Irfan. And expressing it can be daunting. But sometimes, a thoughtful gesture can convey what words cannot."

Irfan: "What do you suggest?"

Imran: "Prepare a gift hamper for her. Include her favorite chocolates, a heartfelt letter expressing your feelings, and perhaps a gold ring as a symbol of your commitment."

Irfan: "Do you think that would work?"

Imran: "Absolutely. In fact, I used a similar approach when I proposed to Ayesha. It's sincere and shows effort."

Scene 4: The Match Ends, A Plan Begins

The final whistle blew, signaling the end of the match. But for Irfan, a new game was just beginning.

Imran: "Remember, Irfan, sincerity is key. Speak from the heart, and she'll understand."

Irfan: "Thank you, Bhai. I appreciate your guidance."

As Irfan retired to his room, he contemplated the plan. His heart raced with anticipation, but also with hope. He knew that expressing his love to Maryam was a risk, but one worth taking.

---

The night was silent, but Irfan's mind was abuzz with thoughts of Maryam and the gift hamper that would soon carry his unspoken words.
