Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

He practiced hard; racing tracks had almost become his second home, and by now he knew them by heart. "If I had gotten a chance to prove my worth once," he wished.

One fine day during his practice, Peter, the lead mechanic of Ferrari, happened to see his session. At first glance, Peter knew that the guy was FIERCE! He reached out to the local racing authorities and pulled up Charles's details and track records. "The boy is terribly good; I feel like he has more potential. Tell him to meet me at my hotel tomorrow," Peter informed his assistant and proceeded with his day.

When Charles found out about this, he was shocked, confused, but excited. He was happy that his hard work was finally about to be recognized. However, the thought of not fitting in or not having stepped inside an F1 car yet distressed him.

He decided he would visit Peter first thing in the morning. Charles lay awake, unable to sleep as he thought about what was coming and how strange it all felt. He felt more fear than joy, memories of past failures continued to trouble him.
