Chapter 6 - Plans for the future

"So... what now?" asked Spark while leaning on a wall and looking down on the nearby terrain "What do you mean?" asked Seul-gi with an confused expression.

"I mean how we are supposed to get back?" explained Spark "I mean, we are already struggling on the first floor out of ten there are" "I get what you want to say" answered Joon-ho "but having doubts won't help us"

"So do you have a plan this time, and will it work?" asked Seul-gi "Of course it will" said Joon-ho, both Seul-gi and Spark looked at him with only doubt on their faces.

"Oh, give me a break" complained Joon-ho "Okey, firstly we get Seul-gi a bow, then we try to master our books, and you will learn 'basics of ice magic'" "You lost me at that learning ice magic part" said Seul-gi.

"Simply put it, if all of us learn ice magic, I could use more powerful magic, not needing to worry about you two"continued explaining Joon-ho "How thoughtful of you" added Spark .

"Do you have any other ideas then? Didn't think so" asked Joon-ho with a irritated voice "Okey, but what do you mean with you using more powerful magic" asked Seul-gi.

"There is a powerful technique I want to try out, but you will be damaged quite a lot" explained Joon-ho "Alright, so are we getting me a bow now or what?" asked Seul-gi.

After that the three of them descended down the tower, and carefully looking if the mini-boss is still there. Lucky it seems that it had gone away.

They made their way to the closest group of basic skeletons, sneaking up as close as possible. When they were in position, Joon-ho started the fight by launching a icicle, killing one of the skeletons on the spot

The rest of the skeletons realized that they were ambushed, they run towards Joon-ho, but their way was blocked by Spark.

Spark was stoping the skeletons from getting to Joon-ho, as he was doing it, Joon-ho launched another icicle at a skeletons head, killing it on the spot.

Spark was also killing some of them, but he was receiving damage from the skeletons attack. Lucky he had learned hardened body so the attacks didn't leave any serious damage.

The number of skeletons was getting smaller, and only five remained. Spark was slowly getting overwhelmed by the skeletons, but Joon-ho killed another skeleton, leaving four of them left.

Spark killed the next two using quick stab, which he learned from the 'basic dagger techniques'. And Joon-ho took care of the last one that was standing.

"Good job you two" said Seul-gi from behind a corner "Thanks for keeping guard" answered Spark "You better get me that bow soon, because I'll want to join in on the fun".

As the two of them were talking, Joon-ho saw a small chest that was standing against the wall across from him.

"Hey, there is a chest over there" said Joon-ho while pointing at it. They made their way to there while being interested in what lies inside.

"What do you think is inside" asked Joon-ho breaking the silence "I hope a bow" answered Seul-gi "Isn't the chest a bit to small to fit a bow?" added Joon-ho.

"I'll just open it" said Spark while reaching for the chest. When he opened it he found a small cloth pouch and a silver ring with five small blue gemstones inbeded in the ring.

When he picked the things up the system said 'recived 50 copper prices' and showed a window with the rings description.

Ring of ice: uncommon

Effect:

Increases the concentration of ice mana in the wearers body and increases ice resistance.

Joon-ho and Seul-gi were looking over Sparks shoulder to read the description of the ring.

"I'll take the ring" said Joon-ho "Then buy me a bow using the money" added Seul-gi.

Spark gave the ring to Joon-ho and opened the shop to buy a bow for Seul-gi, "Hey. Joon-ho, do you have 20 copper for arrows?" "Yeah, here you go" answered Joon-ho before transferring the copper to Spark.

When he got the copper, Spark bought a bow and 20 for Seul-gi, Seul-gi thanked him before her face went dark. "What is it Seul-gi?" asked Joon-ho after he admired his new ring.

"A strong presence is approaching" answered Seul-gi as a figure in armor made out of some black metal appeared from behind the corner, holding a sword and a shield.
