The capital was truly impressive. It was clear that it was much larger than any other city William had ever visited.
Not only that, but it also had a far stronger line of defense. Guards and mages were stationed everywhere, ready to strike at anyone who dared cause trouble.
William knew he would need documents to enter—but he didn't have them yet. To get them, he had to visit a cabin outside the city, and that was where he headed.
The cabin was wooden, hidden deep within the vegetation. It wasn't easy for William to find, but eventually he managed. Inside, someone was already waiting for him.
It was another necromancer, a member of their sect. He handed William several documents—the letter of appointment as a new professor, and also his new identity.
"With this, you should be able to enter and do your work without any problems. Once you're inside the academy, someone else will contact you," the necromancer said.
