Chapter 33 - The Hunt (CH.33)

The first light of dawn broke over the Amazon village, painting the thick jungle canopy in hues of orange and gold. The air was cool, crisp, and filled with the earthy scent of the surrounding wilderness. It was the perfect morning for a hunt—for a challenge. I felt the familiar buzz of anticipation coursing through me as Victor and I prepared ourselves for what was to come.

The village was still waking up, the early morning quiet only broken by the occasional rustle of leaves or distant bird calls.

Kaela had wished us luck, though her eyes had conveyed the true meaning of her words—a warning to stay cautious. This wasn't a game, and one mistake could cost us dearly.

Victor and I gathered our supplies, making sure we had everything we needed for our mission. I had my dagger strapped to my waist, along with the enchanted bracelet I had given Victor, glowing faintly with mana. his face set with determination, a quiet intensity in his eyes. This was it. There was no turning back.
