Although taking someone else's belongings felt somewhat inappropriate, it wasn't like she could return them either, so Kalia decided to keep them.
Gazing at the unconscious Dark Guild member, Kalia looked at the five Move Disks, each labeled with their respective move names:
Ice Punch, Steel Wing, Rock Tomb, Air Slash, and Brick Break. All of these were rare Move Disks, highly valuable.
Kalia's face lit up with delight; some of these Move Disks were virtually impossible to purchase even if one wanted to. However, it was slightly disappointing that few of them were suitable for her Pokemon.
Only Air Slash would be directly usable once her Charmeleon evolves into Charizard. The rest were primarily attack moves.
"Since my Pokemon specialize in special attacks, perhaps I should capture a Pokemon proficient in physical moves," Kalia murmured to herself.
The composition of Pokemon teams is crucial; it's not feasible for all members to excel at Special moves, as they would be easily countered by Pokemon like Blissey.
In battles at the Pokemon Academy, Charmeleon single-handedly turned the tide, but those fights were always perilous. Therefore, having a strong attacking Pokemon remains essential.
This way, encountering Pokemon with exceptional Special Defense can still be effortlessly overcome.
Seeing Air Slash among the discs, Lian felt pleasantly surprised. With this, his evolved team won't lack flying-type Special attacks after evolution. Although Air Slash isn't particularly powerful, its additional effects are quite useful.
Flying-type Special moves are inherently scarce, and Air Slash is already considered strong among them. The only more potent flying-type ultimate move is Hurricane.
However, Hurricane doesn't align well with Charizard due to its low accuracy. To ensure guaranteed hits, Rain Dance must be active, making Air Slash a better choice for Lian.

Kalia handed over the captured Dark Guild member to Ruby City's police department. The Sebas region takes strong action against the Dark Guild, with any discovered incidents receiving high priority.
Consequently, after conducting their investigation, the police swiftly confirmed his identity as one of the elite members of the Dark Guild.
Kalia left it at that, knowing he would likely be imprisoned, and the Pokemon League would handle further proceedings.
Organizations like the Dark Guild deserve universal condemnation. Each year, numerous Pokemon go missing across regions, with most cases linked to the Dark Guild's activities.
In the library,
"What exactly is this?" Kalia held the Z-Ring, feeling puzzled. It seemed highly significant to her assailant, clearly indicating its precious value meant for wearing on the wrist. However, it appeared incomplete, lacking something essential. She searched through her item bag but found no object resembling what might fit into the ring's slot.
"Never mind." Unable to decipher its purpose, Kalia put away the Z-ring, lay down on her bed, and sighed.
Today was truly perilous, unexpectedly encountering an elite member of the Dark Guild. If not for Charmeleon, she likely would have been crushed underfoot, helplessly watching as something precious was taken from her without any means to resist—a thought that still instilled fear.
Julian was rescued by Zapdos, so presumably he should be fine now. However, the Zapdos youngling was captured, prompting Zapdos to undoubtedly seek ways to rescue its offspring.
"My current strength is too weak; focusing on challenging gyms should be my priority. Once my Pokemon evolve, we can reassess the situation."
Following this realization, Kalia took her Pokemon outside the library for training. Tomorrow, she planned to challenge the Fire-type Gym.

Late at night.
"Wow, Level 31 already!"
Lian was surprised to find that the battle earlier had propelled him to Level 31 sooner than expected; he initially thought it would take more time.
However, upon checking the levels of the four captured Pokemon, Lian understood the reason. Each Pokemon was around Level 50, with the weakest being the Weavile at Level 49, while the others were above Level 50.
He noticed that these Pokemon seemed to lack systematic training. Despite their high levels, their ability values were not exceptionally strong, akin to rapid growth without proper development.
For instance, the Level 49 Staraptor, with a base speed stat of 100 according to its species, displayed only slightly faster speed abilities compared to Lian himself. This clearly indicated that the Staraptor had received no specialized speed training; otherwise, its speed ability value should have been significantly higher.
In contrast, Sean's Braviary showcased well-rounded training, particularly excelling in speed and attack capabilities.
Although still far from reaching the maximum ability values, these Pokemon had achieved at least a moderate level of strength. As of now, Lian had yet to encounter any Pokemon reaching the absolute peak in ability values. Achieving even a moderate level demonstrated considerable prowess.
After all, not every Pokemon has access to a system-like cheat. Enhancing their abilities is not straightforward; without the system and consistent daily training, Lian would have few options besides consuming expensive 9800 Alliance Coin nutrition drinks to improve his Pokemon's capabilities.
Without the system, Lian might even be weaker than his Grovyle now, possibly still considered a novice trainer.
Upon reaching Level 31, Lian's various ability values improved significantly, bringing him closer to evolution once again.
To his delight, after leveling up, Dragon Pulse appeared in the moveset list, indicating that he could now utilize it.
Lian promptly unlocked and immediately maxed out Dragon Pulse, enabling future use of new move combinations.
Today's battle was intense but yielded substantial rewards, considering the challenge posed by four Pokémon around level fifty.
The Combat Point reward for today's battles totaled 5913, marking another unexpected windfall. Although less compared to his experience at the Pokemon Academy, this time was purely serendipitous rather than intentionally orchestrated like before.
Currently, his total Combat Points reached 6,131. With over six thousand points, Lian could significantly enhance his abilities once again. This time, he decided to improve his Dragon-type Energy Control Rating, given that he had just mastered Dragon Pulse.
His Dragon-type Energy Control Rating now stood at 11%, likely due to learning Dragon Pulse, which increased it by 1%. This was beneficial as it saved him 500 Combat Points. Subsequently, Lian began upgrading his Dragon-type Energy Control Rating, aiming for a 20% level first, costing him 4,500 Combat Points. He was left with 1,631 Combat Points remaining.
With the Dragon-type Energy Control Rating boosted to 20%, Lian distinctly felt an enhanced mastery over Dragon-type energy. Considering the system's five-fold amplification effect, within the system space, his control over Dragon-type energy effectively reached 100%.
The god-like sensation returned; inside the system space, Lian could effortlessly manipulate both Dragon-type and Fire-type energies at will.
Although Dragon-type wasn't his primary affinity, combining it with Fire-type moves proved highly effective, even allowing him to create new Dragon-type moves.
