Two days later, Otto's specialized instruments arrived.
"Fu Hua" underwent comprehensive tests for Honkai Energy and consciousness integrity. Overall, the results indicated excellent health, with no immediate risk of sudden demise.
Consequently, the Book of Fuxi promptly lifted the confinement order.
She hadn't deceived "Fu Hua"; the primary concern behind the restriction was indeed the fear that Fu Hua might suffer from spiritual energy imbalance, risking an untimely death due to carelessness.
In any case, upon receiving the command granting freedom, "Fu Hua" swiftly moved towards the door almost instantly after Book of Fuxi nodded. With a lift of her small foot, she instinctively prepared to kick open the entrance.
"Stare—"
The Book of Fuxi's deadly gaze arrived as expected.
Sensing the stare from behind, "Fu Hua" immediately lowered her foot, reached out gently, opened the door softly, stepped aside, exited gracefully, and then quietly closed it behind her.
A second later, outside the door, the joyful cheer of a liberated husky echoed.
"Woohoo! Yes!!"
Inside, the Book of Fuxi let out a long sigh, feeling genuinely worn out.
This situation was entirely unforeseen by the Book of Fuxi. Her role had always been that of a celestial housekeeper, but now, unexpectedly, the immortal she served suddenly had a child - how should she handle this? It was completely outside her programmed expectations!
"But more importantly right now - Little Fuxi senses it, doesn't he? This device contains Soulium components, correct? Selling it to young Zeke should cover the damages caused these days, wouldn't it?"
The Book of Fuxi stared at the white machine gifted by Otto, with numbers and currency symbols flickering in her eyes.
While there might be future uses for it, isn't Otto still around as a convenient scapegoat? If needed, another free exploit would suffice!
"Let's do this! Heh heh heh..." The Book of Fuxi patted the "massive" machine before her, folded its hands, and chuckled cunningly.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere is fine! Let's just wander around and see who we bump into!" With that brief response to the stubborn old voice in her mind, "Fu Hua" skipped cheerfully down the corridor. Her traditional attire, adorned with colorful tassels, swayed gracefully near her full, rounded thighs, her face beaming with innocent radiance.
"Just remember not to cause any unnecessary destruction; Little Fuxi wouldn't be pleased. Besides, this is Zeke and their family's home."
"Huh?" The bouncing motion of "Fu Hua" paused, irritation flickering across her face as she scratched her head vigorously. "Oh, come on, you're so annoying, old fossil! I know what I'm doing; I'm not a child anymore!"
"As long as you understand."
"By the way, have you seen enough yet? Can you give me back my memories now? Hanging around like this isn't fun at all."
"Wait a bit longer, there are still some uncertainties."
"Frowning, 'Fu Hua' let out an unhappy grunt." However, it didn't matter—Lady Fu Hua has always been magnanimous, especially towards her past self. So, she decided to indulge that stubborn fool just a little.
Praising herself for her graciousness, "Fu Hua" lifted her head proudly and continued skipping forward.
Suddenly, at a corner, a young girl with pink hair collided into "Fu Hua".
"Hm?"
Given their vast disparity in strength, "Fu Hua" didn't budge at all. Instead, the girl who collided with her stumbled backward, nearly falling flat on her back.
With a swift motion, "Fu Hua" caught the girl and spun around to dissipate her momentum. Supporting the girl's waist with one hand and grasping her arm with the other, she held her gracefully like the final pose of a dance partnership, a faintly mischievous yet bewitching smile playing across her lips.
"Oh, you shouldn't run so recklessly down the hallways, my little darling!"
"F-Fu Hua-sensei?!" Rozaliya tilted her head up, her heart racing as she took in that eerie, seductive grin, her cheeks flushing red all the way to her ears.
"As expected, something went wrong because of our silly big sister," Liliya remarked matter-of-factly as she slowly approached, snapping Rozaliya out of her trance.
Liliya shook her head without saying more; it would have been futile anyway. Apart from food and lyrics for the day's song, nothing could stay in Rozaliya's mind longer than seven seconds.
Watching the sisters, "Fu Hua" smiled warmly and reached out to tousle both their heads. "Where are you two off to?"
"Reporting to Fu Hua-sensei: It's currently our daily singing practice time," Liliya responded earnestly.
"Fu Hua" rubbed her chin thoughtfully.
"Singing, you say? Come to think of it, despite my omnipotence, I haven't really specialized in this skill! Alright then, let's do this together—you'll teach me all your singing techniques!"
Rozaliya and Liliya both looked at "Fu Hua." Seeing her confident, proud expression, they were utterly bewildered.
Meanwhile, within the consciousness domain, Fu Hua paused mid-sip.
["What are you thinking? Why do you want to learn singing?"]
["Well, obviously because it could come in handy! In martial arts, I've already reached the pinnacle, unmatched across the land. Naturally, it's time to improve other areas where I might be lacking. Think about it—singing is often featured at gatherings and celebrations. If one day I'm outperformed by someone else, wouldn't that tarnish Lady Fu Hua's reputation?"]
["...That makes no sense."]
["Mind your own business! You old relic, just stay put quietly inside there. Observe as much as you like, but don't interfere with my true form's actions. Get your priorities straight, fool!"]
Fu Hua shook her head. Though she couldn't convince "Fu Hua," it wasn't anything harmful either. She continued sipping her tea, no longer wanting to bother with it.
Meanwhile, "Fu Hua" dismissed those thoughts from her mind and took the sisters' hands, leading them straight ahead.
"I remember your karaoke room is this way—come on, let's hurry!"
The trio swiftly reached their destination at top speed.
Thanks to "Fu Hua's" enthusiasm, Rozaliya and Liliya soon found themselves enjoying the role of mentor, sharing their singing insights nonstop.
After several hours, feeling satisfied with their progress, "Fu Hua" left the karaoke room—not because interest had waned or patience worn thin, of course!
"Oh! Right, about that question you asked me last time—how to marry Zeke—don't worry, I've been thinking it over. I'll have a plan for you soon enough. Trust me; there's nothing I can't do!" With these confident words, "Fu Hua" disappeared behind the door of the karaoke room.
Left standing there, the sisters exchanged glances.
"Do you think she's reliable, Liliya?"
"Dumb big sister, Fu Hua-sensei has been a spinster for fifty thousand years! What were you expecting?"
"Wah! You're right; we can't rely on her. Then what do you suggest? At this rate, when will we finally live without debt, have ample pocket money, and enjoy spending freely on food and entertainment?"
"Liliya thinks maybe we should ask Bronya for help!" she suggested earnestly, receiving continuous nods from Rozaliya.
The sisters decided to abandon their singing practice for the day, huddling together to whisper conspiratorially as they plotted their next... ahem, I mean strategized their next seduction plan!
