Chapter 610 - Chapter 607

"To be honest, there's no real way to make that much money in such a short time," Ron said. "Even if you try robbing or stealing, it's not fast enough.

Honestly, even if Gon, Killua, and Leorio went to rob a bank right now, it wouldn't come close to covering that amount. And liquidating that much cash would be another huge problem."

"Leorio probably doesn't know any super rich people," he continued. "Gon's connections are unclear. But Killua—you might actually be able to borrow that money. You could try asking Illumi, Uncle Silva, Grandpa Zeno, or Aunt Kikyo."

Killua frowned. "It's difficult, but I can give it a shot." Pulling out his phone, he dialed a number, but quickly hung up. Looking at Gon, he shook his head.

"Second option," Ron went on. "This is Yorknew. The Underworld Mafia is holding an underground auction here, and a massive number of rich people will be flooding in. You could try robbing them. But anyone carrying assets worth tens of billions of Jenny will definitely be heavily guarded. With your current strength, it's highly unlikely."

"Third option: steal a Greed Island console directly from the Underworld Mafia. But that's also extremely difficult."

"Fourth option, which I think is the most practical for you: some buyers of the cartridge aren't purchasing them for their own use. Plus, one console can be used by multiple players. You might be able to negotiate with someone who bought one and get access."

The three turned their attention toward Milluki. In their view, someone with a net worth of over 30 billion Jenny should have no trouble getting a console.

"Milluki-senpai," Gon said first. "If you win the Greed Island console, can I use it?"

"I'll have to think about it," Milluki replied. "After all, I spent nearly all my savings and even borrowed a huge sum from Ron. I can't just give it away because you asked. We don't exactly have a close relationship."

Killua jumped in. "Brother, name your conditions then."

Milluki's eyes narrowed. "I haven't decided the specifics yet, but for now, I can set a baseline: to earn the right to use the Greed Island console, help me complete thirty tasks of similar difficulty to battles on the 200th floor of Heaven's Arena. How's that? Seems fair, right?"

Gon instinctively wanted to agree—if he could get access to Greed Island, that was all that mattered. As for the conditions? He'd think about those later. That was how Gon operated: take the step, figure out the rest afterward.

But Killua's brow furrowed deeply. "Brother, that's pushing it. Thirty tasks aside, just saying they need to be like the 200th floor battles is already vague. The skill gap between fighters on the 200th floor is huge. There are new rookies, regular competitors… and then there are monsters like Hisoka. Even you wouldn't be able to beat him, right? You really dare to make that your condition?"

Killua had no exact gauge on Milluki's strength, but he did know that Hisoka had Illumi's recognition, and Milluki did not. That was enough to conclude Milluki was likely much weaker than Hisoka.

"...Fine," Milluki muttered. "We'll quantify it by normal 200th floor fighters then."

"Still too many."

"How many do you want?"

"Three."

"That's impossible!" Milluki shouted. "That's way too few! I spent so much, and you want to pay with that? No way. Twenty, at least!"

The two began a heated negotiation. Of the three, Leorio was the most skilled at negotiating—but he didn't have the standing here. Only Killua could actually negotiate with Milluki. If Leorio tried, Milluki wouldn't even entertain him.

After intense discussion, they reached a compromise: ten tasks matching the difficulty of ordinary 200th floor fights. But Ron, who understood how the auction would unfold, knew this entire negotiation was pointless.

Milluki wouldn't win the bid. In the original events, each Greed Island cartridge sold for well over 20 billion Jenny—one even went for 60.2 billion—and all were won by Battera. Even if Milluki had participated, all he would've done was push the price up a little. For someone like Battera, whether it was 30 or 60 billion didn't matter. That's the confidence of a top-tier tycoon.

Of course, Battera also paid a steep price to secure the consoles.

Elsewhere, Phinks forwarded Gon and Killua's photos to Shalnark. Shalnark's eyes lit up slightly. "They're on par with Kortopi in raw power? Not bad. With proper training, they could grow significantly. They'd make excellent replacements for Machi if she leaves. Besides, something about this Yorknew auction gives me a bad feeling. We might lose more people."

He immediately found Chrollo. "Boss. These two were spotted by Phinks. I think we should learn from our last mistake and offer them invitations early. If we wait, they'll grow too strong—like Ron. By then, they won't care about joining us."

Chrollo looked up at Shalnark. "You plan it."

"Then I'll arrange it for after our Yorknew operation ends."

"Fine."

Across the room, Nobunaga leaned against the wall, watching Uvogin. "You knew Machi was leaving, didn't you?"

Uvogin stayed quiet for a moment, then nodded.

"Why didn't you stop her?"

"Why did you stop Phinks and Feitan?"

Note: I made a mistake I think in previous chapters I referred to it as the Greed Islan console where it should have been a cartridge. Sorry for that. Will not have that issue in the future.

Also, do you want Killua to always refer Ron as "Ron-nii" from now on? or is it ok for him to use both "Ron-nii" and "Cousin Ron"?

What do you all think about this?
