The next day…
Back at the cabin, inside the infirmary, laid Gabrielle in the bed, deep in a sleep.
Gnawing, aching pain shot throughout her body, causing her to crack open her eyes.
Her eyes felt heavy, as the cool air burned her eyes causing them to dry and water.
She looked next to her, seeing Lexster sitting at her bedside.
"It's good to see you up," He hummed, smiling softly.
"Why is it you," She muttered, turning her head away from him, looking up at the ceiling.
"L-Listen, Gab… Milady I-I'm sorry I'm who you wanted to be at your bedside… But I-I do have good news for you. You responded very well to treatment and your stitches are all fixed up, so you should be able to be back on your feet in a couple of days if you rest well and take it easy," He informed, trying to shift the mood.
She looked over at him, not responding.
