Season: Summer
Weather: Partly cloudy with a chance of meatballs
Day of the week: Wednesday

I woke automatically in the morning, getting out of bed and stopping in confusion on the cold floor, when I couldn't recognize where I was. Once my moment of disoritentation was over and I remembered I was in the hospital, I hobbled on stiff legs to and from the toilet, hiding back in the bed under covers, shivering from the cold.
Had they turned the air conditioner down? Why was it so cold despite being summer?
Curling into a shivering ball, I fell back asleep, vaguely feeling a nurse come in to check on me and bring me another blanket. How kind of her.
Somehow, I slept through breakfast and lunch, despite people trying to wake me up. I was so tired. I just couldn't seem to wake up and didn't feel hungry.
I was forcefed some pills, despite feeling groggy and given a box drink to finish. Creamy peach flavour, from the taste. And then I went back to sleep.
I was sure there was a lot of noise and bustle about me with doctors and nurses coming and going, but I barely noticed. There may have been some visitors as well, but I was too busy catching up on sleep.
I only woke up late at night where a nurse kindly brought me a packet of sandwiches to quiet my grumbly tummy. After writing this entry, I'm going back to sleep.
Ah. I forgot about my early morning cleaning job. There's a message on my phone asking what happened and to make sure I turn up. I'll have to call tomorrow.
