Chapter 15 - Gnawing Tumor

Chapter 15

Added with the fact of its spread, with fantastical intensity, the capacity swelled once more, surging higher, misfortune storms did not limit its threats, a typical ultimatum that merely gnawed at the outer skin because the astral form—with one part being the warmth of the soul—was also tossed about.

More or less it stopped, defining a sigh of relief remembering that twenty years ago it was identified as the absolute halting point of flesh-adding invasion.

During that same time as well, the disappearance of writhing flesh spreading everywhere—named the Gnawing Tumor—was erased from every ruling class, able to eliminate the dreadful memories abstracted as a terrifying specter, whether toward all beings or even non-beings.

It was no wonder that the small depths of Huan Zheng shivered, describing a weave of disbelief without the ability to refute.

As far as he remembered, the terrifying plague's spread had never had the chance to shake, yet now the great opportunity to restore its position as the supreme terror loomed.

And more unexpectedly, a sorrowful re-enactment of history was intent on arriving, appearing without the wish of betrayal while full control was steered by the Enlightened Exile.

Unwilling to repeat, to reproduce sins as in the rules of the first moments, disdainful gazes were instantly silenced, excessive prioritization of worry arose at the time when bitter memories of unintentional replay surged.

It was at this moment that they all departed, immediately leaving behind testament after testament directly witnessed by Huan Zheng's very own eyes.

Based on those painful memories, storing recollections that coincided with the outbreak of the plague transmitting unwillingly to one another, he reflexively shifted the soles and backs of his feet to spin around in place.

"Ahh!!

"How could such vile cruelty possibly have the capacity to initiate the foundation of terror for every life?!

"How could it be, is it even worthy of being visualized after so many losses have struck?!"

"Worthy?"

"Drown in false joy. Do not worry, those sacrifices are not wasted, only categorized as futile as far as an arrow loosed.

"Engrave it well!!"

Amid the onslaught, writhing flesh landed, interspersed with the growth of unwanted vitality that repeatedly struck, giving no chance to breathe, underlining the rot of stench amid the commotion taking place.

No matter how much it was refuted, the turmoil of thought perched there, steadfastly voicing the inability to contemplate a solution, rational choices that could be used to escape from that terrifying stab.

Setting aside guaranteed personal safety, while the conversational partner—none other than Huan Zheng's sister—was trapped, shouted words followed by all kinds of animal names did not block, unwavering in Ling Xu's resolve to step forward as her will, instantly shattering the silence of reverie while the collar of the blade focused right at one of her palms.

Unwilling to proclaim herself as a passive member of the group, the deployment of the blade's edge was then engraved, facing its sharp point directly toward the chest in front, intending to take, to seize back what had been stolen along with Huan Zheng's possessions.

Loudly projecting, firmly declaring that regretful surrender was paramount, the best path out of forced withdrawal.

Yet based on harsh training, the grief of tragedy and a series of misfortunes in life, the gloom of failure did not allow, stubbornly proclaiming the refusal to yield in the midst of the left half of her face covered by putrid sprouts.

Even if the fleshly onslaught would define his fate as nothing but sorrow, the vile exploitation undesired was woven, yet it was not her will to surrender willingly. Therefore, the hanging of the head was declared and released, the choice to lay down her life set forth, the most beautiful act even if the procession's smoothness was exposed in such brutality.

Comprehending immense loyalty through the broad outline was indeed easy to understand.

But it was another matter for this sister of Ling Xu.

No matter how vast the imagination may sail through seven oceans of illusion, the wealth beneath imagination did not support, could not clarify in actuality the necessity for her to end life more swiftly.

Driven by such fervor, the vow of self-eradication was inevitably restrained, temporarily blocking the agenda of life's stretching long before seized possessions could be returned again.

"Lacking?"

"Stop it, this feels too excessive!

"Ahhhh!!

"Haaaaah!!"

Not even a single minute passed, haunted by terrifying apparitions, the meticulous inspection carried out continuously by Ling Xu was momentarily met, initiating startled reactions not grounded in deliberate factors, slightly raising the position of her eyebrows as the rotten sprouts of flesh displayed their ferocity.

Absorbed in the focus on pliant flesh, the participation of foul odors gave no benefit, the main problematic issue was swiftly addressed even though several strands of cancer pioneered their way back into the softness of Ling Xu's skin.

Clearly this agenda was not based on mere trivialities.

Aside from the non-priority of the main viewpoint, soon after the horrifying sight manifested, evidently presenting lines of fractures marking the shattering of the body of the man before them.

Even when incomprehension pointed out, in the name of insufficient understanding after all the predictions took place, it was well understood in Ling Xu's subconscious—she captured and perceived the plague's assault that continued to display ferocity even though some portions of the rotten flesh were brilliantly eliminated.

Still screaming, whatever malevolence it indicated was suspected to be rooted there, immediately concluding in brief that the seizing of death was ready, unpleasantly preparing with the potential for scorched earth to devastate the soul and body of Huan Zheng's sister.

Nothing less than the beginning, the origin of the collapse upon the foundation of cultivation was underlined.

Thus, it was no wonder that so tragic was the suffering that its detonations leapt percentages.

Because of the long-term punishment delivered, launched directly by the emissary of the Court of Humanity as fate decreed, the next thirty seconds became the best memory, the final time to inhale and exhale before the dissolution of the Stellar Foundation joined the unworthiness of welcoming death.

Merely grasping, merely causing sorrowful remnants after all the cries followed through.

Based on those reasons, it was no wonder, underlined by kneeling after so long standing, collapsing upright positions aligning with helplessness.

If that painful memory could be conveyed, it was unimaginable that it might be embedded within the shallow depths of Ling Xu.

Moreover, not long after kneeling, lying prone began, difficult breathing experienced by Huan Zheng was unexpectedly accompanied, redness of shame began to emerge, blazing fervently as descent was fulfilled without intent to block.

"Offering congratulations."

"Later.

"There is something … I wish to tell you.

"Ahhhhhh!!"

"Jewels? Abundant treasures? They are unnecessary."

"Do you not feel confounded?

"Ahhhhh!!

"Through the agreement that gained profit attained, willingly I shall inform you, in totality, teaching you about potential, all the knowledge of cultivation I currently possess.

"Think carefully!! Your future might collapse without ever being accompanied by any teacher."

Once ensured, verifying that the conversational partner—the newest female gender—had no gaps left to continue living, no certainty even if salvation extended was forcibly prevented, full deliberation obstructed the intent to immediately leave, compelled to once again observe the progress of jungle law grounded on the request of that very source.

No matter what vile deeds had been underlined, in circumstances such as this flattery was required, with full awareness Huan Zheng exalted none other than Ling Xu, desiring all knowledge, tricks, and secret teachings to be compensated as his inability to survive longer.

Overwhelmed to handle all individuals could not be denied, contradicting Ling Xu's innermost heart from cutting short the intent of such actions.

Setting aside Ling Xu's silence until this moment, with intent to repay kindness not in hollow words, the great falsehood in order to repay actions at some later time was instantly continued, again explaining the points of profit regardless of how low Ling Xu's mentality was plunged.

Disbelief still intertwined, interpreting unwillingness to turn back or always turning her back against Huan Zheng while firmly standing as proposed.

For a moment letting the trap of knowledge be underlined by her mouth, writhing in pain as a garnish, warm dishes in the midst of abundant feasts did not hinder, initiating no sense of care nor even worry as both feet were soon led away.
