I tore through the forest,

Each step a defiant rhythm against the chaos beneath my feet.

Shattered bones crunched underfoot, muffling my frantic pace as the air thickened with decay, the stench clinging to my nostrils as shadows twisted at the edges of my vision.

My legs burned,

Every muscle screaming in protest.

Pain clawed at me but-,

I pushed forward, ignoring the protests of my burning legs and the sharp pain rising in my chest.

I kept running,

Drawing from a well of determination I didn't know I had.

Crang!

Crang!

Every stumble only fueled my resolve.

It only ignited my determination to survive.

Survival wasn't just a need. It was a mandate.

The forest wasn't silent. Its stillness breathed, alive and sentient, wrapping me in its ominous grip.
