The outer perimeter was laced with arrays such as the Nine Revolutions Ruyi Formation and the Falling Star Array, while the inner perimeter was fortified with formations like the Mirror Flower Water Moon Formation and the Fiery Fire Fish Dragon Formation. These arrays consisted of either killing arrays or support arrays like confusion arrays or illusion arrays that aided the movements of the spiritual beasts.
The reason for placing Third-tier Arrays in the inner perimeter was simply because of their low refinement cost. Since they were destined to be easily demolished by the Nascent Soul Late Stage demon beast, it was better to use cheaper arrays.
