"Senior Kurs, will you be attending the science class later?" Finn asked tentatively, sneaking a glance at the wall clock; he needed to grab a seat in the classroom.
Kurs looked up and sighed sadly.
"No, Finn, you go ahead...it's meaningless to me now."

Not far from the dejected Kurs, two senior bronze-level apprentices were equally dispirited, sighing in anxiety over the assignment they submitted a few days ago.
The assignment about using a "secondary explosion fireball technique to create a suffocating effect to harm the target" seemed outlandish in hindsight, and they worried it might have already become a joke among the assistants.
Thinking about this made even the frosted bread taste bitter.
"In retrospect, our assignment was too casual," Bain said, listlessly poking at his bread, "we even hypothesized about a 'demon beast not good at jumping'...How did I come up with such a stupid assumption?"
