Flame and vapor.
They are two utterly different and naturally opposing elements.
The essence of flame is a visible phenomenon in an exothermic reaction, involving chemical changes when a substance burns. It is the result of a rapid oxidation reaction between fuel and oxygen (or other oxidizing agents).
This reaction releases a great amount of energy, manifesting as light and heat.
Meanwhile, clouds are clusters of tiny water droplets or ice crystals.
When these two meet, they usually display the spectacle of water and fire, which won't mix.
But at that moment,
these two elements clearly defined, harmoniously coexisted on the face of the humanoid creature outside the aircraft.
While obscuring its face,
it also brought an extreme sense of fantasy,
making everything seem as if in a dream.
Eagle Eye One's pilot, Mike Bell, didn't understand the principle behind the harmonious existence of these two elements, but he felt the surrealness this scene conveyed.
