In old times, this place was called Longevity Valley.
On one hand, because of its climate; on the other, there was an eccentric living in seclusion in the valley. According to Kunlun folk tales, this eccentric existed even before the birth of the Great Capital Dynasty. In the end, that dynasty, after hundreds of years, perished, but this man still revealed himself to the world, looking like a youth from five hundred years ago.
This eccentric was the Carefree Elder. Among all Great Grandmasters, he was one of the longest-lived. The average lifespan of a Great Grandmaster is four hundred and twenty years; it is verified that he lived five hundred and sixty years.
