They felt a tribulation descending upon them, one much more powerful and terrifying than they should bear!
In the Western Heaven, there are no tribulations.
The Western Heaven is known as the Nirvana, where practicing Buddhist Law in the Western Heaven is free from the troubles of tribulations; this is common knowledge.
Ling Mountain is even a rare Holy Land in the Nirvana of the Western Heaven, where Harmonization occurs on the mountain, tribulations do not arise, and no matter the heinous crimes committed, one will not suffer any karma.
Thus, many giants of the Demon Sword are willing to lay down their butcher's knives and take refuge in Buddhism.
