Amid their conversation, the group had already approached the inn.
The inn was constructed entirely of wood, its weathered appearance showing signs of age, with a slight musty, decaying odor. Raindrops fell from the worn eaves, tapping on the cobblestone ground.
The first floor of the stilted building was unoccupied, housing chickens, ducks, pigs, and two barking dogs in the dark night.
"Halt!"
Before the group could get close, a voice rang out from the second floor of the inn.
A figure hid behind a wooden pillar, holding a bow and arrow, and spoke in a cold voice: "The wind is strong, the rain is fierce, where do you travelers come from?"
"Fast Ship Zhang" hurriedly stepped forward, cupping his hands, "We are disciples of Brother Peng, don't misunderstand. I am 'Fast Ship Zhang', I've been here a few times before."
"So it's Senior Zhang."
