This corridor was built into the mountainside, connecting another part of the castle at the summit. It was only wide enough for an adult to pass through, and the stone windows carved into the right offered no cover whatsoever. The floor was constantly exposed to the elements, covered in snow, while the wind howled outside, throwing snowflakes against the wall.
Chen Ke stepped forward and tested the ground, trying to confirm that the passage wouldn't collapse halfway through. Richter, on the other hand, was gazing into the distance at the end of the corridor, where after about fifty meters, it began to gently slope upward, its stairs concealed by the accumulated snow.
"It looks like we can go through. After all, since the cup is working, the hallway must not be intended for us; they wouldn't set a trap for themselves," Richter said.
