When Kael asked this question, the light coming from his third eye intensified. Ryskim felt his mind being forcefully opened.
From the moment he answered the first question correctly, he had subconsciously begun to let down the defensive parameters of his mind, giving Kael the chance to invade with little resistance.
And even though he could feel something worming its way into his mind, the dragon commander could not do anything about it because his subconscious warned him that every question he answered wrongly would be followed by the terrifying burning sensation of his soul on fire.
Of all the ways he had imagined himself dying, he didn't think it would be due to soul fire. It was something he had never mentally prepared himself for.
But now that Kael had asked another question, he hesitated, afraid to answer. If he didn't answer, the soul fire would burn again, but if he did, Kael would infiltrate deeper.
