Now that he had reached Level Four as a wizard, Future Skywhale found himself growing uneasy.
> "In the girls' eyes, I'm still only a Level Three Wizard. They have no idea I broke through a year ago. It was already difficult enough for them to help me reach Level Three… Now that I'm at Level Four, I can't rely on them any longer. I'll need to find my own way forward."
He sighed, watching the seven earnest witches as they trained, oblivious.
> "They're amazed by my talent, but that's only because their world is small. They've seen so little."
He frowned. "Even if I am gifted, I'm still no match for the Three Witches of legend. Not yet. And compared to the prodigies of this era—Lilith, Medusa—my talent is still… lacking."
But he had something they didn't.
Experience.
He hadn't wasted his decades in this world. While others fought with spells and bloodlines, he had built something else entirely.
> "I've finally reached the peak of my tech tree."
He turned toward the construct before him.
It stood over three meters tall—a humanoid figure of mythic proportions. In its left hand, a broad round shield. In its right, a dark blue staff that glimmered with runes. Its skin was as pale as ivory, its features sculpted and divine. Stars shimmered across its midnight robe.
A mechanical demigod.
Though it appeared human, it was anything but. Crafted from the bones of ancient beasts and etched with mystical runes, the construct pulsed with latent power. Its body was a fusion of science, alchemy, and soul theory—an embodiment of the impossible.
> "In my previous life, I spent forty years building a tech empire. It took me thirty years in this world to understand its arcane logic—its soul science, its spiritual foundations. But now…"
> "Creating alchemical life is no longer beyond me."
With a hop, Future Skywhale leapt into the chest cavity of the golem. Inside was a cockpit—a cramped but intricately carved control chamber. He wrapped his tentacle around the bellow-like power system and fed it his spiritual energy. Lights flickered. Runes activated.
Click.
The hatch closed.
And then, the titan moved.
With practiced grace, the humanoid golem stepped into the sunlight.
> "From this day forward," Future Skywhale declared, "none shall know me as a Slime. My name… is Grantham."
---
> But do I really want to go around fighting monsters and grinding materials just to reach the next level?
He considered the thought.
And instantly dismissed it.
> "Nah. I'm a farming-game guy. I don't like violence. I'll just find someone else to support me again."
---
That same day, Grantham—cloaked in power and mystery—walked into the royal palace of Babylon.
The ruler he came to see was one he deeply respected.
Lilith, Queen of Babylon. She had suffered quietly for decades, endured political humiliation, and even surrendered her beloved for the sake of her people. Her nation had crumbled around her, but she had not.
Yet even now, she remained stuck at Level Five—a limit imposed by the spiritual demands of her class. Her heart was too burdened. Her obsession, too deep.
While the Rose Sect thrived—spawning new Level Five Witches every generation—Lilith's power had long stagnated. The Kingdom of Babylon had lost its last hope of resistance.
> "If not for the Slime," she murmured to herself, "and how it eased the burden on our men… perhaps our kingdom would have already fallen completely."
She sat upon the golden throne of Babylon, staff in hand, her face a portrait of noble sorrow.
BOOM.
The doors to the throne room swung open.
A stranger entered—tall, regal, and glowing with power. A staff in one hand, a shield in the other. His robes shimmered like the night sky. His presence was commanding, godlike.
> "Who are you?" Lilith stood abruptly. "To breach the palace unnoticed—and to be so... tall. Are you truly human?"
She narrowed her eyes, sensing his aura.
Level Four.
A powerful wizard, hidden in Babylon all this time?
Her heart pounded in disbelief.
> "How could we have missed someone like you?"
Future Skywhale remained silent. He stepped forward.
And pulled the bellows again.
His spiritual aura surged, crashing into hers like a wave. It wasn't just Level Four—it was Level Five.
> "This… this is the strength of a Fifth Level Wizard?" Lilith's eyes widened. "Impossible. I sensed Level Four. How are you…?"
A long silence passed.
Then, he answered:
> "This… is the power of Alchemy."
---
The throne room trembled beneath the weight of that word.
He stood tall, his voice steady.
> "During the Age of the Three Witches, the god Hermes descended as a black raven and gifted Babylon with three sacred disciplines: Magic, Meditation, and Alchemy."
> "The Three Witches unlocked the first two. But the third? The most divine?"
> "That gate… I have opened."
Lilith's world collapsed around her.
Alchemy.
The fabled third pillar. The divine art that could breathe life into matter, manipulate reality, and unlock the very Truth of existence. Even the Three Witches had failed to master it.
And yet… here stood a man who had.
Tears welled in her eyes. Her hands trembled upon her staff.
> "He… he's real. A sage. A prophet. A man touched by truth."
> "This man—he's our salvation."
She stepped forward, breath caught in her throat.
> "Babylon has not been abandoned…"
---
And then, the genre changed.
Click.
The great hatch opened. And from the chest of the mechanical god… hopped out a green Slime.
With bright, glistening eyes, and a twitching, enthusiastic ahoge, it stood proudly before the throne.
> "Your Majesty!" the Slime chirped. "I come on behalf of the Kingdom of Babylon! Grant me your authority, and I will lead our people to freedom! I will defeat the Empress of Death, Medusa, in your name!"
Lilith stared.
Silence. Heavy silence.
She blinked.
And blinked again.
> Wait… this little blob… just leapt out of his chest cavity?!
Her eyes moved from the Slime…
Back to the tall, majestic golem…
Then back again.
> This… this is the real body?!
A Slime?
A soft, bouncy, giggling blob?
Lilith's mind broke for a moment.
> So there are men who look like mighty sorcerers on the outside… but inside… they're just Slimes.
