Chapter 489: Entering the Reincarnation Cave Mansion
That gigantic black hole appeared like a small world capable of devouring the heavens and the earth. With a diameter spanning tens of thousands of feet, anyone standing before it seemed as insignificant as ants. Such grandeur seemed like the handiwork of a god.
Lin Langtian stared at this astonishing sight with a hint of shock. Even those powerful experts who had reached the Reincarnation Realm might find it nearly impossible to create something of this magnitude.
"Is that the cave mansion of the Reincarnation Realm expert?" Mu Lingshan asked curiously, her large eyes staring intently at the partially visible cave mansion hidden within the immense black hole.
"It should be," Lin Langtian nodded slightly. He glanced around, noticing numerous figures besides the groups from the Deep Sea Dragon Tribe and the Flame God Hall already waiting nearby. This surprised Lin Langtian somewhat.
He wasn't surprised that the Deep Sea Dragon Tribe and Flame God Hall, who possessed protective tokens, arrived quickly, but the others had no such protection yet still managed to arrive shortly after. Clearly, their strength and methods couldn't be underestimated.
Most of these people hadn't revealed themselves openly on the previous island, but clearly, they were truly formidable hidden experts.
As Lin Langtian was quietly observing these gathered experts, Ao Xuan from the Deep Sea Dragon Tribe glanced at him and smiled, acting as if their conflict three days ago never happened.
Lin Langtian, however, saw through Ao Xuan's false display of friendliness. Having already experienced Ao Xuan's cunning schemes firsthand, he certainly didn't believe the other party had genuinely let go of their grudge. Lin Langtian knew very well that Ao Xuan wouldn't hesitate to strike viciously the moment an opportunity arose.
"Brother Lin, you arrived quickly as well," Ao Xuan said, smiling broadly. "We were worried that if a token were missing, we wouldn't be able to open this cave mansion."
Lin Langtian glanced at him coldly, uninterested in idle talk. He simply asked, "How do we open the cave mansion?"
Upon hearing this, the eyes of all the surrounding experts turned toward them. Although everyone had successfully arrived here, if Lin Langtian, Ao Xuan, and Tang Xinlian refused to act, all the others could only stare helplessly.
"No hurry, no hurry. Wait a bit longer," Ao Xuan replied calmly, an odd glint flashing in his eyes.
Lin Langtian frowned slightly, glancing toward the Flame God Hall's group. Tang Xinlian, in her striking red armor, also seemed to be waiting patiently without any movement.
A gentle black glow from the sky surrounded her body, forming a faintly luminous curve around her figure. Her heroic bearing captivated many, causing hearts to race slightly faster.
Lin Langtian shook his head gently. Tang Xinlian, famed as the "Fire Fairy," indeed had a charisma capable of stirring countless hearts.
"Brother Lin, there's no need to rush," Tang Xinlian turned toward Lin Langtian with eyes suddenly filled with curiosity, even eagerness, before stretching her slender arms leisurely. "Now is not yet the ideal time to open the cave mansion. Let's wait a little longer."
Lin Langtian nodded slightly in response, but Tang Xinlian's gaze just now puzzled him a bit. He had a vague feeling that this woman seemed eager to spar with him for some reason.
Shaking his head again, Lin Langtian dismissed those thoughts. Although he didn't understand exactly what Ao Xuan and Tang Xinlian were waiting for, he refrained from further questions. Taking a cautious step back, Lin Langtian quietly circulated his Yuan Power, preparing himself for any unexpected events.
The surrounding experts, noticing the trio's inactivity, were somewhat confused, but none dared press them. After all, as long as these three decided to open the cave mansion, everyone else would gain entry, allowing them to profit as well.
Gradually, silence settled over the sea region, broken only by distant surges of terrifying suction. Compared to the previous dangers encountered, this inner area of the Devouring Sea appeared surprisingly tranquil.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
While everyone waited, powerful experts continued arriving in a rush, many appearing battered from their struggles against the devouring black holes. Despite the previous devastating attacks, the number of cultivators gathering here remained surprisingly large, a testament to the allure of the Reincarnation Realm expert's legacy.
These newly arrived experts gazed hungrily at the enormous cave mansion within the black hole, clearly eager to seize whatever treasures awaited inside.
As more people arrived, impatience grew. Murmurs and urging voices began echoing, pushing Lin Langtian's group to open the mansion quickly. Lin Langtian, however, ignored them completely, sitting quietly with his eyes lightly closed.
After about half an hour more, the number of gathered experts reached an astonishing level once again. Nearly everyone here possessed strength around half-step Death Profound Realm—clearly, the minimum requirement to survive the devastating journey through the giant devouring black holes.
Finally, amidst the rising clamor, Ao Xuan stepped forward. His eyes swept across the numerous experts gathered, and a sinister smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
"It seems about enough," Ao Xuan muttered softly before turning toward Tang Xinlian and Lin Langtian. "Friends, the time has arrived. Shall we open the cave mansion? All we need is to activate our tokens."
Tang Xinlian nodded calmly, immediately holding up her black token. Seeing this, Lin Langtian hesitated briefly before taking out his own token.
The moment the three tokens appeared, countless greedy gazes immediately locked onto them. Although everyone knew that once the mansion opened, they would all gain entry, those holding tokens would naturally have advantages and receive special guidance.
Suddenly, the three black tokens trembled simultaneously, each emitting beams of black light that converged midair before entering the gigantic black hole.
Buzz!
As the black beams entered the enormous black hole, ripples appeared along its edges, followed by powerful waves of suction energy and faint destructive fluctuations, causing many cultivators to retreat cautiously.
Soon afterward, a radiant black path stretched forth from the black hole, bridging the massive void directly toward the mysterious cave mansion hidden deep within.
Creak…
A huge stone door, thousands of feet tall, slowly began opening under the illumination of black light. Ancient and primal energy surged outward, igniting everyone's anticipation to fever pitch.
The Reincarnation Cave Mansion had finally opened!
Boom!
As soon as the mansion opened, the gathered cultivators instantly went wild. Countless figures simultaneously surged forward like locusts, flooding the black pathway and heading straight toward the open stone door.
Lin Langtian swiftly pocketed his token, his eyes burning with anticipation as he glanced again at Ao Xuan. The latter still wore that disturbing, sinister smile, causing Lin Langtian's heart to tighten.
"Be careful when we go in," Lin Langtian warned Mu Lingshan and the Liu brothers quietly.
As Ao Xuan's group began moving, Lin Langtian immediately followed suit, charging down the path with his companions.
After entering through the stone door, Lin Langtian narrowed his eyes slightly against the intense black light. Immediately, he sensed fluctuations in space, followed by his Devouring Ancestral Symbol vibrating violently—a warning of imminent danger.
Opening his eyes quickly, Lin Langtian saw countless black-light figures standing motionlessly ahead. Each figure held a black bow, arrows of black energy pulsating ominously on their bowstrings.
Boom!
Without warning, these black archers released their arrows simultaneously. An overwhelming torrent of black arrows filled with devouring energy shot toward the intruders, tearing space apart.
Caught off guard, dozens of cultivators at the front were instantly pierced and quickly dissolved into nothingness under the corrosive devouring energy, their agonized screams echoing through the cave mansion.
Lin Langtian finally understood Ao Xuan's strategy: Ao Xuan had intentionally allowed countless cultivators inside as cannon fodder to clear out dangers within the cave mansion!
"Get behind me!" Lin Langtian immediately grabbed Mu Lingshan, summoning his Fire Feather Sword. The sword quickly enlarged, forming a shield of fiery energy, successfully blocking the deadly arrow rain.
Outside the shield, chaos ensued, with cultivators dying horribly. The arrow rain decimated nearly half of those who entered first, turning the area into a bloody mist.
"Attack them! Don't let them shoot again, or we'll all die!" someone roared desperately. Immediately, the surviving cultivators rushed forward, launching powerful techniques to tear through the formation of black archers.
"Let's go!" Lin Langtian instructed decisively, leading Mu Lingshan and the Liu brothers swiftly into the disrupted enemy ranks.
To reach the cave mansion's depths, they had no choice but to fight through this deadly battlefield of devouring energy soldiers.
