Even for those declining nobles, nobility may have declined, yet generally speaking, noble blood still exists. Even after several hundred years, they believe in its existence.
Many commoners do not know the status their ancestors once held. Indeed, numerous commoners think their ordinariness stems from their ancestors being ordinary. If their forebearers had been nobles, they believe they would have led a carefree life. This is simply a narrow-minded view among the common folk. In reality, even if one became a noble, without continuing to uphold noble status, one would end up a declining noble, and thus fall to the state of commoners.
