The Dragon Slayer buff was still counting down, but at least the Crimson Lizard King's HP had stopped dropping.
Orson was free-falling through the air, plummeting fast toward the ground.

Just as the buff expired, he summoned the Crimson Lizard King once more.
With a thunderous roar, the beast swooped in and caught Orson mid-air, lifting him skyward again. Its severed lower body had fully regenerated, though it had lost nearly half its total HP.
Unlike other MMOs, Infinite Dimensions gave beasts only one life. Once killed, they couldn't be revived—you'd have to tame a new one from scratch. That's why most beastmasters would rather sacrifice themselves than let their battle pets die. Players could respawn; beasts couldn't.
