"Earth is not a permanent home, only the end of my campaign. If you lose to me, do not call it unfair."

A million white divine bolts poured down. Taran stood like a reborn thunder god, every word and motion a decree from the heavens.

His gaze locked on the only enemy who mattered, the one who truly threatened life and death.

For Earth's people drowning in despair, he was their only god, the god of hope, the god of war, the master who walked out of chaos.

The mortal god.

Unmoved, Taran watched the blazing sword light fall at his feet, fade, and die into silence.

"Bradley."

"No."

"Dad…"

Grief spread through the Godslayer army like a forbidden curse.

Isla broke down in sobs. Madman fell to his knees and wailed. He and Bradley had fought like cats and dogs, yet now Madman's heart felt pierced by a thousand arrows.

"I am the chaos god. This cannot be. This will not happen."

Orson stared blankly. The pain cut to the bone. The heart he thought ironclad shattered to pieces.
