Clara let out a deep sigh, and she stared at the pictures Dave, the private investigator, had sent to her. There were pictures of Alex and Lynn arriving and leaving the hospital. They looked so happy, and Alex had such a bright smile on his face that it made her stomach churn. She felt like smacking that smug smile away.
"Is this all?" She asked Dave, who hated to speak with her. All she ever did was complain, but he had no choice but to chug down his annoyance and answer her. "Yes ma'am, they haven't been out much the last few days. He hasn't been to work, either, " he reported and heard Clara let out an exasperated sigh, and he could feel the complaining incoming.
