Chapter 40 - 9

Marie: "The location opens at 8 PM. We have a few hours before the guests arrive."

Her tone was calm and matter-of-fact, her golden eyes meeting Billy's with a quiet assurance. The girls exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued by Billy's sudden shift to practical matters.

Billy's glowing green pupils flickered and shifted to a bright blue, his head tilting slightly as he processed Marie's words. His voice carried a hint of surprise, his tone calm but curious.

Billy: "At 8 PM?... That's late, no? Why would it be open at that hour?"

The room fell into a brief silence, the girls exchanging amused glances. Billy's reaction to the late opening time was both unexpected and endearing, and they couldn't help but find his curiosity amusing.

Bonfie bounced slightly on her heels, her ears twitching as she clasped her hands together. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she eagerly jumped in to explain.

Bonfie: "Ohhh, that's because we're not a kid's place, silly!~ We're a nightclub!~ People come here to have fun after work or on weekends~. It's all about the nightlife!~"

She grinned at Billy, her tail flicking behind her as she gestured dramatically to the neon-lit room.

Frenni, leaning casually against the stage with a hand on her hip, smirked as she watched Billy. Her tone was teasing, but there was a hint of amusement in her voice.

Frenni: "What, shiny~? You thought we were some kiddie pizzeria?~ Nah, this is where the real fun happens~."

She winked at him, her tail swishing playfully behind her.

Chiku, standing slightly apart from the group, raised an eyebrow as she observed the scene. Her expression was as neutral as ever, but there was a flicker of amusement in her golden eyes.

Chiku: "Hmph. Guess he didn't get the memo about this being an adult venue."

She crossed her arms, her tone matter-of-fact but not unkind.

Fexa, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, let out a short laugh. Her sharp eyes gleamed with amusement as she watched Billy.

Fexa: "Hah. Guess you're not used to the nightlife, huh? Don't worry, weirdo—you'll catch on."

She smirked, her tail flicking lazily behind her.

Golden Frenni, still slightly flustered from Billy's earlier attention, watched him with a mix of curiosity and something she couldn't quite place. Her golden eyes followed his movements, but she remained silent, her arms crossed tightly.

Internally, she couldn't help but feel a flicker of amusement at Billy's confusion. His innocence about the nightclub's purpose was... oddly charming.

Marie regarded Billy with her usual calm demeanor, her golden eyes glinting with quiet curiosity. She tilted her head slightly, her small, knowing smile never fading as she considered his question.

Marie: "This isn't a place for children, Billy. It's a nightclub—a space for adults to unwind and enjoy themselves after dark."

Her voice was soft but carried a sense of authority, as if she were used to providing clarity in moments of confusion.

Billy's glowing blue pupils flickered faintly as he processed the girls' words. His voice was calm but carried a hint of confusion, his tone thoughtful as he tried to make sense of their explanations.

Billy: "... So... A club that opens at night... That makes sense, but... What do you mean only for adults, and not a place for children? Children can be part of clubs. In my location, they even made fan clubs between themselves, to see who liked to play with, if with Fred, with Charlie or with me."

The room fell into a brief silence, the girls exchanging amused glances. Billy's innocent misunderstanding of the nightclub's purpose was both endearing and slightly baffling.

Bonfie giggled, her ears twitching as she clasped her hands together. Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she tried to explain.

Bonfie: "Ohhh, Billy~! It's not that kind of club!~ This is a place for grown-ups~. You know, with music, dancing, and... other stuff~."

She grinned at him, her tail flicking behind her as she gestured dramatically to the neon-lit room.

Frenni, leaning casually against the stage with a hand on her hip, smirked as she watched Billy. Her tone was teasing, but there was a hint of amusement in her voice.

Frenni: "Aw, shiny~. You're so innocent~. This isn't a place for kids to play games~. It's where adults come to... have fun~."

She winked at him, her tail swishing playfully behind her.

Chiku, standing slightly apart from the group, raised an eyebrow as she observed the scene. Her expression was as neutral as ever, but there was a flicker of amusement in her golden eyes.

Chiku: "Hmph. Guess he's not used to the idea of adult entertainment."

She crossed her arms, her tone matter-of-fact but not unkind.

Fexa, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, let out a short laugh. Her sharp eyes gleamed with amusement as she watched Billy.

Fexa: "Hah. You really don't get it, do you? This isn't a kiddie pizzeria, weirdo. It's a nightclub—adults only."

She smirked, her tail flicking lazily behind her.

Golden Frenni, still slightly flustered from Billy's earlier attention, watched him with a mix of curiosity and something she couldn't quite place. Her golden eyes followed his movements, but she remained silent, her arms crossed tightly.

Billy got up from the table, his movements smooth and precise as he placed the chair back as if he hadn't touched it. His glowing blue pupils flickered faintly as he turned to look at Fexa.

Billy: "And Fexa, I'm used to working hard at night. In my location, I used to work as a night guard and janitor during the night."

He hesitated for a moment, his gaze shifting to the girls in general.

Billy: "I wonder what you mean. I don't understand anything you mean, every time you mention adult this, adult that... Am I missing something? Is it just your way of talking?..."

The room fell silent again, the girls exchanging amused glances. Billy's innocent confusion about the concept of an adult-only venue was both endearing and slightly baffling.

The girls' reactions were immediate, each responding in their own unique way to Billy's question.

Bonfie giggled, her ears twitching as she clasped her hands together. Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she tried to explain.
