When Ethan's group reappeared, no one outside had even figured out what had happened.
They had vanished, then returned almost immediately.
Except... weren't they two people short?
"Where are the two elders?" an Aegari fighter asked, bewildered.
"Dead."
Ethan sneered, raised his poleaxe, and charged the two races again.
"That's impossible!"
Neither group believed two Tier 47 fighters could have died so easily. But as the battle continued, the elders never reappeared.
It finally sank in.
They might actually be dead.
Then they looked at Ethan, rampaging through their ranks and killing someone with every swing of his poleaxe, and whatever nerve they had left finally broke.
"He's a demon! Run!"
At the shout, the surviving fighters scattered in every direction.
The Fallen Star Squad and the Rimekin immediately moved to cut them off.
