James and the others had already gotten into the car by this time, with Gina driving. James helped Emily Lopez into the back, and whether she was truly drunk or just pretending, she suddenly pulled James to the back with her.
Left with no choice, James sat in the back with Emily Lopez, who then leaned sideways onto James's lap, pouting and saying, "Brother-in-law, my head hurts so much. Can you rub it for me?"
Gina turned her head and frowned, saying, "Sit properly. You're a grown girl, lying on your brother-in-law's lap; what does that look like?"
Emily Lopez replied playfully, "I helped you catch your brother-in-law, can't I borrow him for a bit? You're such a stingy ghost."
"You…" Gina was at a loss for words, and glanced at James somewhat guiltily. Being with James, she always felt as if she had tricked him into coming here.
