Even though his unexpected move caused James Brown to hesitate for a mere 0.01 seconds, the killer's dagger still failed to inflict any damage on James Brown.
Without dodging, James Brown grabbed William Power's hand and yanked it sideways, causing William Armstrong's arm to involuntarily block the path between James and William Power's dagger.
There was no returning from William Power's move, and with James Brown's lightning-fast action, the dagger ended up stabbing solidly into William's own right arm—piercing one side and exiting the other.
