John Brown took Jack Carter and Anna Smith to a teahouse, got a private room, and the three of them sat inside. Anna Smith sat next to Jack Carter, head lowered, her expression was quite complex; Jack Carter seemed both delighted and a little worried.
John Brown poured tea for the two and said, "Come, have some tea, don't worry."

Anna Smith now realized John Brown was surely extraordinary and quickly said, "Manager Johnson, what do you want to know?"
