Chapter 368 - Chapter 369: Immediate Slap in the Face

Alan raised an eyebrow and exhaled in relief—bringing Wanda along had been the right decision.

Rather than trying to persuade the stubborn Hank Pym with words, it was far more effective to show him what would happen.

With the Avengers' help, Scott's abilities could improve significantly, making the plan more foolproof and preventing Darren Cross from escaping, shooting Hank Pym, or kidnapping Cassie later on.

Scott glanced around the room, taking in the sight of Alan and Hank, as well as the overturned cups and the coffee soaking into the carpet.

"Hello, Dr. Pym."

Scott didn't want to let Alan's efforts go to waste. Even though he knew that what he was about to do could very well get him killed, he was determined.

"Let's do it, then. Scott, have you really thought this through?" Hank studied Scott's expression carefully. The thought of Scott joining the Avengers left him feeling conflicted.

But if he wanted to prevent the future he had just witnessed from becoming reality, then perhaps doing what Alan suggested was the best course of action.

"Yes, Dr. Pym..." Scott locked eyes with Hank. "I've turned over a new leaf. I know I haven't always made the best choices in the past."

But Scott didn't want to go into a long-winded explanation—it was exhausting.

Wanda, leaning slightly against Alan, was also observing Scott intently.

"My resolve is unshakable. I won't do anything shady ever again!"

He wanted to build a better future for his daughter.

Scott couldn't bear the thought of Cassie growing up and realizing that her father used to be a thief. He never wanted to see that look of disappointment in her eyes.

He was done with that life—for good.

Alan exchanged a glance with Hank, who seemed a bit puzzled. Alan just shrugged helplessly.

All he had suggested was for Scott to follow Hank's guidance—maybe even become Hank's assistant and contribute to his research.

Yet Scott had agreed without hesitation, even knowing that becoming a test subject might very well cost him his life.

"Hmm… your determination is commendable, but..." Hank Pym's eyelid twitched slightly—he suddenly felt like he was being scammed.

"Do you know Darren Cross?"

···

Scott's eyes lit up at the mention of Darren's name.

Wait… was Dr. Pym about to introduce him to a job at Pym Technologies?!

"Of course! Mr. Cross is famous—he runs Pym Tech and is just as impressive as Stark!"

Scott barely finished his sentence before noticing Hank rolling his eyes so hard they might have gotten stuck.

Immediately, Scott shot a pleading look at Alan.

Did I say something wrong?!

···

"Good. Since you know him, I want you to put on the Ant-Man suit, break into Pym Tech, steal the Wasp suit, and delete all the related data!"

Hank Pym took a deep breath. Since Scott was bound to meet Tony Stark eventually, he decided to set aside his personal grudge against the Stark family—at least for now.

That playboy Stark was reckless and did whatever he pleased. Over the years, he had pulled more than his fair share of crazy stunts. Deep down, Hank still had a strong bias against Tony.

If it weren't for Alan, he never would have agreed to this plan.

Meanwhile, Scott's face was full of bewilderment.

Just a second ago, he had been proudly declaring that he would never do anything shady again.

And now, Hank Pym was training him to steal from Pym Tech?!

What the hell?!
