Mirai arrived at the movie theater, finding it completely dark inside.
Not that it mattered to him—whether there was light or not didn't affect his vision.
He walked straight over to Yamanaka Ino and asked,
"Ino, what made you suddenly invite me to a movie?"
Ino seemed a little shy. She lowered her head and said softly,
"Mirai-sensei... it's just... I haven't seen you in a while, and I kind of missed you..."
As she spoke, she pulled out a small bouquet and placed it in Mirai's hands.
"I arranged these flowers myself."
Mirai lifted them to his nose and inhaled deeply. A rich, pleasant fragrance filled his senses.
"Ino, your skills are impressive."
"As long as you like them, Mirai-sensei," Ino said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Seeing her bashful expression, Mirai finally caught on.
He hadn't even planned anything yet, but this little girl couldn't hold back anymore.
It was obvious why she had invited him here tonight.
"Ino, what are you staring at?" Mirai asked as he caught her sneaking glances at him.
Feeling awkward under his gaze, Ino fidgeted and said,
"N-Nothing! The movie's about to start, right? Let's watch."
Although Mirai understood how Ino felt, he had no intention of rushing things.
A girl who loved flowers would definitely treasure the sense of ceremony. He wanted to create a date that would leave them both with beautiful memories.
As the images flickered across the screen, Ino's mind was in total chaos.
More than once, she tried to muster the courage to confess her feelings—but every time, the words got stuck in her throat.
She grew more and more frustrated with herself.
Why am I such a coward? Why can't I just say it?!
But...
What if she confessed and got rejected?
As Ino spiraled deeper into anxiety, a warm hand gently grasped her left hand.
Mirai's voice, low and reassuring, reached her ears.
"Ino, just focus on the movie. Don't overthink it."
For some reason, hearing his words instantly calmed her down.
Mirai-sensei...
He must have already realized how she felt, right?
Ino finally turned her attention to the movie, and her anxious heart gradually settled.
...
More than two hours later, Mirai led Ino out of the theater.
Walking along the streets of Konoha, Ino felt her heart overflowing with sweetness.
She was certain now—Mirai-sensei definitely understood her feelings.
And since he was still holding her hand, there was no need to guess how he felt.
"Ino, let's grab a bite to eat first."
Ino nodded obediently. "Okay, Mirai-sensei. I'll go wherever you want."
Under Mirai's lead, the two of them arrived at an elegant, high-end restaurant.
Inside, the lights were dim, and candles flickered gently atop the tables.
"Mirai-sensei... you set all this up?"
Mirai smiled. "Do you like it, Ino?"
"I love it!" Ino said eagerly, her face lighting up with joy.
The atmosphere was simply perfect.
Seeing Ino so happy, Mirai breathed a small sigh of relief.
It seemed he was right—Ino was the kind of girl who would love a candlelit dinner.
...
After dinner, Mirai took Ino on a walk through the quiet hills behind the village.
Under a sky full of stars, the only sounds were the soft murmur of insects and the faint scent of flowers on the breeze.
Standing atop the Hokage Rock, overlooking Konoha, Uchiha Mirai gently pulled Ino into his arms.
"Ino, starting tonight... you'll be like Hinata—someone who belongs to me alone."
The grown-up Ino was, without question, breathtakingly beautiful.
Even Uchiha Mirai found it hard to restrain himself.
Feeling his intense gaze, Ino blushed fiercely and buried her face against his chest.
"Mirai-sensei... No one will see us here, right?"
Mirai whispered, "Don't worry. I set up a barrier. We can see the outside, but no one can see us."
Beneath the gentle night breeze, the shy, budding flower finally bloomed in full.
...
The next day.
Hyūga Hinata and Kurotsuchi arrived at the dessert shop where they had agreed to meet Ino.
Kurotsuchi leaned in and asked, "Hinata, did Mirai-sensei come home last night?"
Hinata shook her head, speaking softly. "I'm not sure. I only know he went to the movies with Ino."
Hearing this, Kurotsuchi grew even more impatient.
She was dying to know how far things had gone between Ino and Mirai-sensei.
As the minutes ticked by, Kurotsuchi grew more and more anxious. She glanced at the clock and finally grumbled,
"She's so late! We agreed on a time, and she's still not here?"
Hinata swallowed the last bite of her dessert and said casually,
"I don't know either."
"Waiter! Bring us another round—everything on the menu!" Kurotsuchi called out.
Watching Hinata eat nonstop, Kurotsuchi couldn't help but sigh with envy.
"Hinata, how do you eat so much and still stay so slim? I wish I had your metabolism."
Hinata smiled a little awkwardly.
"Actually... I do gain weight. It just... goes to the right places."
...
Kurotsuchi glanced at Hinata's chest, then looked down at herself, nearly bursting into tears.
The difference between people was just too cruel.
She had been utterly crushed again.
Just then, the door opened and Yamanaka Ino walked in.
Kurotsuchi immediately pounced.
"Ino! What took you so long?!"
Ino stuck out her tongue playfully.
"I was too tired... overslept a little."
"Tired?" Kurotsuchi's eyes lit up. "Details! Spill!"
Ino gave her a light smack. "Stop fooling around."
Hinata leaned in curiously.
"Ino, did you confess to Mirai-sensei? What did he say?"
Thinking back to everything that had happened last night, a dreamy, blissful smile spread across Ino's face.
"Hinata, we're the same now."
"That's amazing! Now we can all live together!" Hinata cheered happily.
Then she turned her gaze on Kurotsuchi.
"Kurotsuchi, that just leaves you."
"You better work hard too."
Kurotsuchi fidgeted, feeling guilty. "M-Me? I need to think about it more..."
Compared to Hinata and Ino, her figure just didn't measure up. She wasn't confident at all that Mirai-sensei would ever like her.
Ino encouraged her. "Kurotsuchi, you have to believe in yourself! Mirai-sensei has praised your legs so many times, hasn't he?"
Hearing that, Kurotsuchi looked down at her own legs but still felt uncertain.
Just a pair of legs... could that really be enough to attract a man?
