Hannah, sitting beside her mother, looked up with wide, tear-filled eyes. "But Dad can't be gay," she interjected, her voice trembling with emotion. "He's always been so normal, so... straight."
The officers exchanged a glance, their expressions sympathetic. "We have evidence that suggests otherwise," the taller officer said gently. "We found explicit materials and communications on his devices that indicate his sexual orientation might not be what it seemed."
Julie's face paled slightly, but she maintained her composure. "I can't say for sure," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "We haven't been intimate in a long time. I didn't know."
The shorter officer nodded, making a note. "We also need to ask about any changes in his behavior. Did you notice anything unusual or concerning?"
Julie shook her head, her eyes downcast. "Not really. He was always busy with work. I didn't pay much attention to his personal life."
