I chuckled inwardly at Haruna's thoughts, knowing she couldn't escape my grasp. The idea of her struggling to break free amused me, and I was eager to see what Yuko would do next. Haruna's expressions were always so easy to read, and her frustration only added to my amusement.
Haruna finally calmed down and stopped crying. We all sat together to enjoy some snacks, the atmosphere thick with tension and unspoken words. I noticed Haruna sneaking glances at me, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and something else I couldn't quite place.
This didn't go unnoticed by Yuko, Julie, and Hannah, who exchanged knowing looks. I chose to ignore their gazes, focusing instead on the snacks in front of me.
"These snacks are really good," I commented, trying to break the ice.
Haruna muttered under her breath, "Yeah, they are."
Yuko, trying to lighten the mood, added, "I'm glad you like them. I made them myself."
