Chapter 210 - 210. Azuria Ready

NOTICE: PERSPECTIVE CHANGE TO MARCUS EPSILON ALCORE

Marcus Epsilon, a genius Azurite of Azuria. Formerly a Noble-Satyr boss monster of the 119 floor of the Abyssal Sanctum, he also evolved into Azurite when Paxius did. He has a fair color with short black hair, blue pupils with lighted edges, center of his pupils have red circuits show (A sign of power among Azurites). His height is about 1.7meters with a nice short beard with moustache.

Marcus resides in the Cyber Cove (Research and Development District), and currently at a bus stop waiting for carpool. Other Azurians join him in waiting, "Hey Marc." One waves and Marcus replies, "Hey." The other Azurian(Azurite) converses with him, "How's the 'MR-Vessel' project going?" Marcus turns his hands, "So so. Still thinking of a barrier to protect the vessel." The Azurian nods, "Yeah, I heard the Monster Realm is quite dangerous. Is it even possible to make a barrier on earth than can withstand that place?"

"Probably no." Marcus speaks, "But I got an idea, I'll show little Isa and we'll test it with her INFORMATION MAGIC." The other Azurian speaks, "Hope it all goes well. Here comes the bus." The bus arrives and they get on. Marcus converses with other Azurians and arrives before the main building where he's working.

Marcus exits the bus, enters the main building. He waves at the receptionist and heads to the elevator. He pushes another button to the top floor and the door closes. The elevator takes him there and he exits walking towards the big door ahead. He reaches the door and it opens, this is Isa's office.

Isa is busy designing the blueprint for a transport vehicle to the Monster Realm. She turns to see Marcus, "Marcus? What's up big brother?" Marcus enters the office, "I've been thinking about the barrier for the vessel." He swipes his hand and a screen opens before him, "How about if the vessel has a circular shape like a disc, and you Azurians serve as the power source for the barrier."

Marcus swipes more, "You guys have way more energy than us so we can scale the barrier to the energy input instead of making a stable barrier." Isa stares at his screen and quickly clears her desk in embarrassment, "A barrier like this is only as strong as its source."

Marcus nods, "Exactly, if more Azurians are powering it, then it'll match up to a tenth of an Azurian's defence." Isa rubs her chin, "Yeah, so if more Azurians are powering it, it'll be a tenth of each individual person!" Isa's eyes brighten up, "Genius!" Marcus sends her the data and Isa goes through speaking, "But to use a barrier like this, we'll have to redesign the entire vessel."

Marcus sighs, "Yeah." Isa chuckles, "it's not all bad. With Azurians scattered on the vessel, we could all power a part further boosting the barrier." Marcus raises a brow, "Do we really need such a powerful barrier? A tenth of one Azurian is enough to tank the hits from multiple gods."

"Unfortunately, we do." Isa speaks, "Think of it as, the monsters there being on par with mum." Isa's eyes glows, "INFORMATION MAGIC > SIMULATION." A screen appears before them showing the barrier in effect and a little Nytri attacking it. Isa points at the barrier, "Let's use mum to test it. Mum should be able to break the barrier if it's run by 3 Azurians with ease. But if we increase the number to about 50, she'd have to attack it multiple times to break it."

Isa makes another image of Mama Zilla attacking the barrier, "Now with grandma, she'd break it in one move." The image of the barrier breaking shows. Marcus rubs his chin, "What if more people power it up? Wouldn't it be able to hold against her attacks?"

Isa nods, "It should but, the impact from both sides would turn any human inside into mush. Grandma's attacks tend to deal internal damage most. So I'm thinking we set 50 people to maintain the barrier and anyone available fights outside." Isa makes images of other Azurians fighting, "Even we're attacked by something powerful, those outside can buy enough time for the vessel to make an escape."

Marcus tilts his head, "Then how about we add a weapons system to it? We do have them as defenses here." Isa shakes her head, "Weapons can only do so much. With someone like mum, if she reverts to her true form, all weapons are useless against her." Isa swipes a screen and new huge cannons appear, "However, I've been working on a Pulse Cannon. It deals 0 damage for Calamities but it should push them around."

"Should?" Marcus asks and Isa nods, "Yes, it's also able to parry energy attacks. So as long as we don't take physical attacks, we can parry or redirect any attacks coming." Marcus swipes the screen showing pictures of waves of monsters, "I doubt Calamities are the only ones to worry about. What if creatures like these attack? A Pulse Cannon won't be enough."

Isa nods, "Oh yes, that's where you and the constructs come in." Isa swipes showing various weapons, "I intend on arming it with every kind of weapon and linking the controls to the passengers. With us outside fighting, you guys will be controlling the guns on the vessel. The constructs will reload and scan the area to avoid the big ones."

"Aren't people there sensitive to energy?" Marcus asks and Isa speaks walking to a shelf, "Very sensitive." She picks a book, "But I'm going to leave it to you guys to cloak the vessel." Marcus shakes his head surprised, "How do we cloak a vessel running on energy in an area filled with energy? It'll be like a huge black spot on a map."

Isa grins, "That's where chaotic energy comes in. You do know how to create chaotic energy, right?" Marcus scoffs, "Of course I do, buffed an monster I was fighting once because of it." Isa giggles, "Hihihihi, sorry. I believe using runes to convert external energy into chaos energy would slip right under the attention of people." Marcus speaks, "Or broadcast our location!"

Isa waves her hand, "Don't worry." She shows him sets of runes she's been working on, "Chaotic energy doesn't change runes. We just combine runes that make them believe there's nothing there and they'll ignore it. Even if they investigate us, we'll look like those random warps floating around."

Marcus rubs his chin, "I guess you're right. Stabilizing chaos energy will make it raw energy but reducing the stabilization just enough. And we can control the chaotic energy." Isa gives a thumbs up and Marcus makes an exasperated face, "My department is working on this, right?" Isa smiles brightly. Marcus sighs, "Fi~ne." He turns and exits Isa's office to the elevator.

Marcus goes down a couple of floors to his department, they work on Runic Inscription. Researching ways to inscribe powerful and weak runes on objects and flow of energy in runic formations (Circles, squares, lines, etc). His department is a wide circular lab with many researchers working, circular tables are in the room with objects on it. The room is well ventilated despite there being no windows, and a big clock as the roof of the lab.

One researcher made an artifact that shoots lightening and tested it on a practice dummy. He looks unsatisfied so he goes back to his table. Marcus walks towards the other end of the lab where his station is, Cath Siths have already been incorporated into Azuria. So some are working here, Marcus gathers a group and tells them their objectives. They all work very hard.

NOTICE: PERSPECTIVE SWITCH END.

Meanwhile, news of the 'Excursion of the Century' has spread to other continents. Sadly, they wouldn't make it in time but they still left for Alkebulan to make reservations for the next trip.

People registered for the trip are around 1,500 and more are seeking a chance to join. Nytri is now handling administration so she cuts a lot and I mean a lot of names down to reach the 1,500. The Flux Factory (Industrial District) also went to work creating parts of the vessel and assembling it. Though a difficult task, it took Azuria a week and 2 days to complete the fully functional and tested vessel.

It is time for the Excursion of the Century!
