The dragon reeled back as the horned horse impaled it with its horn. The soldiers took that chance to back away even further. Alicia's barrier was breaking fast, and if they don't get away, they'll end up roasted.
The heat was suffocating, but still they could see Alicia standing at the front, her armor smoking and her hair almost catching on fire. One of the soldiers managed to turn back and splashed her with water from his ration bottle before dashing away. He never thought that a day would come when throwing water at the princess would be a good thing to do.
It was then that an energetic voice rang behind them. "It's a unicorn!" Lilia rushed to the front and jumped through Alicia's barrier into the flames. The soldiers' hearts dropped as they saw her small figure disappear into the roaring crimson wall of fire, but they didn't have time to worry about her; now they must run before Alicia dies protecting them.
