"Come and help!"
"Well, you're mistaken. Mixing oranges and mangoes might cause digestive issues. I'll handle it; you just rest."
"No, let me help! We have a responsibility to our consumers."
"Dinner's ready! Today's special is your favorite strawberry salad."
"I heard the heir of Count Weileva is coming to our town tomorrow. That's a real nobleman!"
"What's the big deal? This is Count Weileva's territory, so of course his heir will come."
"Count Weileva is a kind nobleman, and he's the reason our town is so beautiful. I can't wait to see his heir!"
Erin and Luo Ning lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling in a daze.
"It's so beautiful here. There's no war, no hunger—this is a kingdom! It must be a projection from a long time ago, right?"
"Especially Sister Ronnie; she's so gentle, just like your master," Luo Ning added.
"All elves are like this." Erin nodded in agreement. "But are we really here for the inheritance? It's been almost a month, and I still haven't seen it. I'm just captivated by the peace here."
"Didn't you mention that the heir of Count Weileva would arrive tomorrow? Maybe that's the key?" Luo Ning suggested, her eyes sparkling with hope as she used her intuition to predict the outcome.
But then, confusion clouded her features. "It feels… the same! Peace continues."
"What's wrong?" Erin asked, noticing Luo Ning's change in demeanor.
"I'm fine," Luo Ning replied, though a hint of unease lingered. "We should leave here tomorrow."
"Why?" Erin's smile faded, replaced by concern. "Is something wrong? Have you been wronged?"
"Really, it's nothing." Luo Ning reassured her. "I just want to make sure we're prepared for what's to come."
Erin took a bite of the cake, her eyes narrowing in contentment. "Wow! The elf family has really outdone themselves. I'll write you a letter and come back to visit."
Ronnie, feeling a little shy, blushed as she heard their conversation. "Thank you for spending this month with me. Let's go enjoy the day together!"
The Next Day
The town was decked out in colorful decorations as townsfolk gathered at the city gates to welcome a handsome young man. He had golden hair and perfect features—like an angel, radiating charm.
"Look! That's the future heir of Weileva! He's so beautiful!" Ronnie exclaimed, excitement sparkling in her eyes.
Luo Ning and Erin exchanged glances, momentarily mesmerized by the scene.
"Today feels magical. After welcoming the heir, the calmness hasn't changed," Luo Ning mused.
As they walked through the town, the locals greeted them warmly. The familiar faces of stall owners offered them treats, reinforcing the sense of community.
Luo Ning's thoughts turned serious. She remembered the circumstances that had brought Irene here—the person who had taken her away to begin this trial.
"Everything feels so real," she pondered. "This inheritance space is like a genuine small world, capturing the beauty of the present."
"Xiao Luo, what's on your mind?" Erin asked, noticing her friend's distraction.
"It's nothing." Luo Ning tried to shake off her unease. "Let's enjoy today."
Ronnie cheered them on, her enthusiasm contagious. "Let's go explore more!"
They wandered toward a lush forest behind the town, where small animals frolicked without fear.
The animals, unafraid of the trio, played around them, and Luo Ning, feeling confident with her charm at 80, smiled as they approached.
"This tree of life is magnificent!" Ronnie exclaimed, pointing at a towering tree radiating life energy.
"It must be at least 100,000 years old!" Erin replied, eyes wide with wonder. "It's just like the one in the inheritance."
"Yes, this Tree of Life belongs to Count Weileva. The elves cherish this place, and it's the heart of our town. I hope to live here for many more years," Ronnie said dreamily.
"Maybe one day I'll have my wedding here, beneath this tree, declaring my love with an elf baby by my side," she added, her eyes sparkling with hope.
"It sounds beautiful!" Erin agreed, her heart lifting at the thought.
As they continued their exploration, the atmosphere shifted, and a sense of urgency crept in.
"Xiao Luo, are we leaving soon?" Erin asked, glancing at her friend.
"Yes, we must go." Luo Ning nodded, determination in her voice.
"Alright." Erin looked at Ronnie, gratitude filling her eyes. "Thank you for your hospitality this month. We'll take our leave now."
The two girls set off, hand in hand, with Ronnie watching them leave, her heart a mix of joy and sadness.
"There's no banquet that doesn't end," she whispered.
The Journey Ahead
"Where do we go now?" Erin asked.
"I'm not sure," Luo Ning admitted.
"Not sure?" Erin echoed, a hint of concern in her voice.
"Hmm."
"Let's follow our instincts. This inheritance space is truly fascinating. It shows us a glimpse of the past," Luo Ning replied.
The two had spent considerable time in this world, and what felt like half a year had passed since they entered.
After numerous adventures, they had grown accustomed to the rules here, savoring the beauty around them.
However, as they returned to the original town, an unsettling tension gripped Luo Ning's heart.
"We're here!" she exclaimed suddenly, her eyes wide with alarm.
"What's happening?" Erin asked, startled.
At that moment, a wave of unease washed over Luo Ning. "It's coming!"
"Coming?" Erin echoed, confusion etched on her face.
Without warning, Luo Ning grabbed a set of her epidemic medical suit from her space ring and handed it to Ronnie.
"Put this on, Sister Ronnie, quickly!"
"What? Why?" Ronnie asked, bewildered, but she accepted the warm yellow suit. "It looks too small."
"It's equipped to adjust its size! Don't question it—hurry!" Luo Ning urged, her voice rising with urgency.
Ronnie nodded, quickly changing into the suit.
"Cough, cough!"
"What's happening?" Erin asked, her eyes widening.
Suddenly, a series of coughs echoed around them, and the atmosphere shifted ominously.
"This is... Did I bring this upon us?" Luo Ning thought, panic rising within her.
"No! We have to help!" Erin exclaimed, determination filling her voice. "We can save them!"
"Together, we'll figure this out. But you must remember—you are a cursed doctor now."
With renewed resolve, Luo Ning and Erin rushed out, ready to confront whatever challenges lay ahead.
