Chapter 205 - Chapter 205: The Plight of Uchiha Obito {1}

"Hmm?"

"A meteor?"

On the hospital rooftop, Tsunade, clutching a sake jug and basking in the cold breeze, murmured to herself as she gazed at a strikingly vivid streak of firelight piercing the distant night sky.

"It's been a long time since I've seen a meteor…"

Glug, glug. A hefty gulp of sake slid down her throat, and Tsunade's eyes, slightly hazy with intoxication, followed the increasingly brilliant meteor.

Faintly, she could almost hear the whistling roar of the meteor fiercely rubbing against the air.

It seemed rather large, too.

What was the first thing to do when you saw a meteor?

Tsunade rubbed her throbbing temples.

"Oh, right!"

"Make a wish!"

Snapping to attention, Tsunade hurriedly clasped her hands together, closed her eyes, and made her wish.

I hope…

Hmmm…

That I'll have endless money!

Rich enough to rival a nation!

Sakura Haruno stared at the meteor tearing through the endless night, its fiery tail blazing as it hurtled toward her. Her right fist clenched tightly.

"S-Sakura, I think we should get out of here, fast," Sasuke stammered.

He had already deactivated his Amaterasu. He'd figured it out by now: if his own strength wasn't enough, even with a luck-enhanced EX buff, he'd struggle to match Sakura.

Worse still, his Heavenly Counter had no effect on her.

His eyes had awakened because of Sakura, yet they were powerless against her. Sasuke could accept that.

"Get out of here?" Sakura shot him a sidelong glance. "You caused this mess, and now you want to run?"

Rolling her eyes, she began channeling chakra into her right fist.

The Strength of a Hundred Seal on her forehead activated, and black lines radiated from it, spreading across her body.

Though Sakura spoke dismissively about the meteor, she never truly underestimated it.

With the Strength of a Hundred Seal fully unleashed, she said, "Sasuke, watch closely."

"This punch is my true power."

Sasuke froze at her words, his expression turning grave.

He admitted that even with his Mangekyo Sharingan, he was no match for Sakura.

But could human strength really stop—or even shatter—a meteor?

Blue-pink chakra flared around her fist, burning like ignited gasoline.

Sakura released Sasuke, planted one foot on the ground, and the earth beneath her shattered instantly!

The sheer force of her stance caused half of Sasuke's house to collapse!

But Sasuke had no time to care about his house. His eyes were locked on the figure soaring skyward.

"Sakura…" he murmured, watching her silhouette.

The chakra in Sakura's hand burned fiercely, the blue-pink flames coalescing into the shape of a tiger's head.

As she closed the distance to the meteor, she could feel the searing heat against her skin.

Her emerald eyes sharpened with unmatched intensity, and the tiger's head in her hand let out a roar that could intimidate anything!

It was as if the king of the forest had unleashed a furious bellow!

ROAR!

The ferocious fist-wind roared like a mountain lord!

"Monster Strength: One Hundred Percent!"

"Break!"

In that moment, time seemed to freeze. The meteor in the night sky shattered into countless tiny fragments, scattering across the heavens. Red streaks veiled the darkness, painting the sky.

The night became the perfect backdrop, the crimson trails vivid against the black canvas.

Across Konohagakure, many looked up in awe.

"Huh?"

"Was my wish too big?" Tsunade muttered, taking another sip of sake. "The meteor… shattered…"

Sasuke stood dumbfounded as the meteor's fragments scattered in all directions, speechless.

It was gone. Shattered.

That meteor, plummeting at high speed with the power of an S-rank technique, had been pulverized by Sakura's single punch.

Even Sasuke, facing that meteor, would likely have only two options: flee or activate Amaterasu and hope luck or some unexpected event would save him.

Through real combat with Sakura, Sasuke had come to understand Amaterasu's effects.

Unexpected events.

Favorable accidents that caught even his enemies off guard.

Even Sasuke himself couldn't predict what those accidents might be.

But every single one worked in his favor.

As Sasuke pondered, Sakura shook out her hand and walked toward him.

Punching a high-speed meteor to pieces was, even for her, a challenging feat.

Her fist had been scorched from contact with the meteor, and she'd even felt faint cracks in her bones. But under the Strength of a Hundred Seal's power, those injuries were healing rapidly.

"When did you awaken your Mangekyo?" Sakura asked, eyeing the pensive Sasuke. She had her suspicions but wanted confirmation.

"It was… when that guy named Uchiha Obito stabbed you," Sasuke replied, hesitating slightly.

He'd been there when Obito attacked Sakura. Though he was on the battlefield's edge, he could still observe everything.

"Is that so…" Sakura's eyes flickered as she studied Sasuke's expression. Pointing to the steps of the half-collapsed Uchiha residence, she said, "Let's sit over there."

Uchiha Obito's appearance had shaken not only Kakashi but Sasuke as well.

Sasuke had believed he and Itachi were the last Uchiha. Now, another had emerged.

If Sakura were in Sasuke's shoes, she'd have a mountain of questions, too.

Though Obito's actions clearly marked him as an enemy, Sasuke's restraint—compared to his original story—showed significant growth.

The two sat on the steps. Sasuke's gaze fell on Sakura's hand, now fully healed.

When Obito had appeared, Sakura had almost instantly countered his intangibility.

Even after missing with a kick, she decisively collided with his weapon, trading injury for injury to shatter his mask with a single punch.

Her confidence in taking that hit likely stemmed from her rapid-healing ability.

Seeing Sasuke staring at her hand, Sakura shrugged it off.

In a world where most ninja were fragile, a tank like her was indeed an anomaly.

"Does Sakura know that Uchiha Obito?" Sasuke asked.

Rubbing her smooth chin, Sakura replied, "Not too well, but I did look into some intel about him afterward."

"Uchiha Obito, a disciple of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze."

"A 'hero' who supposedly died at the Kannabi Bridge, gifting his eye to Kakashi before his death."

"That's how Kakashi earned the title of Copy Ninja."

Sasuke's fists clenched at her words.

Whatever Obito's past, he was now a Konoha traitor—a fact beyond dispute.

Another stain on the Uchiha name.

It seemed that after dealing with Itachi, Sasuke would have to handle Obito as well.

"Uchiha Obito…" he muttered.
