Rather than worrying about the future, like university or what comes next, I knew this summer was the last one I'd have in high school. I didn't give much thought to the school festival either. This year, his band would be performing again, just like always.

"Oh, that reminds me, you're the lead singer in your band, right? My friend mentioned it the other day," I said casually.

"Yes! That's why my band and I will be there to support you! We'll cheer for your success with our songs!" he said enthusiastically, and that's when I finally noticed the electric guitar slung over his shoulder.

"Not really. I can't play a major role in the game. I'm only the setter," I replied.

"That's not true. You're the ace, aren't you? You're famous for being the playmaker, right? You orchestrate the offense by setting up your teammates for spikes," he said with a confident grin.

I only hummed in response.
