Chapter 196 - Tournament Registration

The first light of dawn slipped through Jayden's curtains, painting faint golden streaks across the ceiling. His eyes snapped open before his alarm even buzzed. Sleep still clung faintly to him, but the itch of restlessness was stronger. He lay there for a moment, staring up at the faint glow of the sky and listening to the faint whistle of the early morning breeze against the windows.

"Alright," he muttered under his breath, sitting up. "Let's get this over with."

He rolled out of bed, muscles stretching and bones cracking with the faint stiffness. After tugging on a black hoodie, track pants, and sneakers, he slipped out quietly. The house was still hushed, the kind of calm that only existed before everyone woke up.

As he jogged to park, the air was crisp, carrying the smell of dew-wet grass and faint earth. Jayden breathed it in deeply as he began his warm-up laps, feeling the ground crunch softly beneath his soles.
