Chapter 20 - Shadows at the table

Isabella's point of view 

I was discharged that day, Mr Waters asked the doctors to shift treatments to the house.

" That's a good idea." I looked at the incubator, my ears listening faintly to their conversation.

" She might get depressed staying here." My heart hit my chest, what are they trying to say? 

This is where I have peace of mind, hospital food was better than the food served in gold with bones in it.

I didn't want to make a scene. I went home, walking into the mansion, weakness flushed over to my body, my mind sharpening, I was in a delicate state.

But I knew the house sent chills down my spine, my eyes looking at the towering walls, maybe because I left in a sober site.

I was back to bondage, a place that grew my pain.

Although I was going to receive treatment from home, I wanted to see my child in the incubator.

The next morning, I woke up with pains in my chest, my face folded as I closed my eyes tight trying to balance the pain.
