Walking outside of Inaho's shop I realize just how much time has passed since this morning as the sun already looks to be setting. Growl! Looking down I notice my unhappy stomach. Woah! Oh man, I really skipped lunch today. Its late and I realize that I could make food out the house but decide against it as too much happened today and I'm much too lazy to cook. So, I decide to eat out.

I go to the center of the village to have dinner, next to the Yamanaka Flower shop and the sweets shop little Hinata likes to visit is a small, unassuming Ramen shop. Being something that everyone Naruto fan has to visit at least once in their life if they're given the opportunity "Ichiraku Ramen"

The shops have always been popular with Konoha's villagers because of Teuchi's strong commitment to taste, but more importantly the character of the shop's owner. In recent times the shop became less popular because of Teuchi's stance on Naruto, with this being a shop people aren't allowed to gossip in. While this gained him some backlash, he still stood firm on this decision and over time people came to respect him more even if they don't agree. Apparently, the creator, Kishimoto made the shop based on the real-life version in Fukuoka, Japan as he would often visit it while in university.

Sasuke makes it to the store; he gulps once as this is a dream for every Naruto fan. And now he gets to fulfill a dream from his childhood. Bracing himself he walks in the shop

Instantly he's hit, the familiar aroma of rich broth and fresh noodles drifted through the air as Sasuke stepped inside Ichiraku Ramen. Based on the memory of the past Sasuke it had been years since he'd last visited, and honestly, he couldn't remember why he had avoided the place for so long.

Teuchi, the owner, glanced up from behind the counter and raised an eyebrow. "Well, well, look who finally decided to drop by."

Sasuke gave a small nod and took a seat, his usual composed demeanor in place. "Just felt like having some ramen."

From behind the curtain leading to the kitchen, Ayame appeared, wiping her hands on her apron. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of him. "Sasuke Uchiha? At *our* humble ramen shop? What's the occasion?"

In the past the original Sasuke's family wouldn't often leave the clan grounds much but did on occasion show up to eat ramen from the family duo as they never whispered behind their backs and treated them like everyone else.

Sasuke smirked slightly. If he was going to be honest Ramen is great and all but there's a secondary reason he came to the shop. And that was to flirt with Ayame, another character that was tragically left alone in Boruto. Don't get me wrong I like Hinata as a love interest to Naruto and all but it felt so one sided, with it being so bad of a pairing they had to make a full-length cannon movie to fix the problem. Hinata's great and all but it would have been easier to just make Ayame his love interest. Crazy thought I know. But when you think about it who was the first girl to accept Naruto for who he is. It was Ayame. Naruto came to the shop when he was four, eating free ramen from Teuchi the first person other than the Hokage not to treat him like the Piranha. With his daughter next to him the whole time.

The raven-haired boy looks at the menu for a moment before speaking. "Do I need an occasion to get good food?" His dark eyes lingered on her just a moment longer than necessary. Looking back at the girl he wants to try his luck.

Ayame laughed. "Well, I never thought I'd see *you* here alone. Figured Naruto was the only one who could drag you in." She leaned on the counter, tapping her chin. "Let me guess—you want something simple, no frills?"

Sasuke's smirk grew. "You must be a mind reader."

She playfully scoffed. "Hardly. You just give off that 'mysterious but predictable' vibe." She turned to prepare his ramen, but not before giving him a teasing glance. "Unless you're here for something else besides food."

From what he remembered from his memories of a past life and what he knows about the anime. Ayame is the type of girl to casually flirt with a guy for the sake of conversation but won't overstep past a certain line or seriously date a boy if their just going to use her for her body. Recalling the scene with her having a crush on Kakashi but not chasing him like a fangirl. Sasuke tilts his head slightly. "And if I was?"

Ayame nearly dropped the ladle she was holding. She glanced at him, searching for a hint of sarcasm, but his expression remained unreadable—except for that almost imperceptible flicker of amusement in his eyes.

"Oh?" she said, regaining her composure. "So, Uchiha Sasuke, *avenger of the clan*, has time to flirt now?" With the girl testing the waters as everyone in the village knows by now how big of an edgelord the boy is.

Sasuke rested his chin on his hand. "Maybe I just know good things when I see them."

Ayame blinked. Then, to Sasuke's surprise, she burst into laughter. "I never thought I'd see the day. You're really full of surprises. I hate to break your bubble but your much too young for me. Come back in 5 years when you meet the height requirement." She leaves to prepare his meal.

While she works Sasuke can't help but look at the girl. Ayame is a slender girl with long, dark brown hair and large black eyes, plus has fair skin. The girl is relatively tall for a woman, being 5'8 which doesn't sound that tall but this is crazy given its anime where everyone is like 5'4. Standing next to a adult Naruto who grows to be Being around 6 foot, makes me take an extra look at her. She wears a white robe with the sleeves folded, a sort of dark blue apron with ribbon ties at the top and a bright white bandanna. Ayame is a kind and cheerful young woman. She's hard-working, always doing her best to serve ramen. Truely one of the only pure souls in a world of bloodshed.

---

Steam curled into the air as Ayame coms back placing a steaming bowl of The Spicy Hot House Tomato Ramen in front of Sasuke. The rich broth, infused with the natural sweetness of tomatoes, glowed a deep red under the dim lights of the ramen stand. Sasuke grabs a set of chopsticks, gulping at the sight of it. Ayame noticing his reaction, gives a satisfied nod.

"There you go," she said, wiping her hands on her apron. "One special bowl of Spicy Hot House Tomato Ramen, just for you. Didn't think anyone but my dad would ever eat something like this, but hey—Uchiha's always have to be unique, right?"

Sasuke picked up his chopsticks and gave the bowl a once-over before muttering, "Hn. Smells good."

Ayame leaned on the counter, watching him with an amused expression. Sasuke took his first bite, the warmth of the broth spreading through him. As if it washed away all his sins. Picking up a couple of noodles he takes a bite; he glances up at her. "Not bad."

Ayame gasped dramatically, placing a hand over her chest. "Oh no. Did the mighty Sasuke Uchiha just give me a compliment?"

Sasuke smirked slightly. "Don't let it go to your head." Going to continue eating his meal.

She grinned. "Too late."

A comfortable silence settled between them as Sasuke continued eating. Ayame watched him with mild curiosity before finally shaking her head.

"You know, kind of strange today" she mused, "if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were flirting with me just now."

Sasuke didn't even look up. "Oh really, that gave me away?"

Ayame let out a small laugh, but then she tilted her head at him, her black eyes warm yet firm. "Well, for one, you're not as subtle as you think. Do you think you're the only boy to try and take a crack at me. And two…" She tapped the counter lightly. "This is the most I've ever seen you talk."

Sasuke paused mid-bite, 'wow did the original Sasuke just grunt and say one liners the entire time.'

Plus, you could use some work.. Then as if nothing happened puts on a cutesy tone as if she's talking to a dog. " But don't worry Sasuke-chan big sis Ayame will teach you how to properly charm a woman.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow from hearing her comment. "...You think I'm too young ?"

Ayame nods her head in satisfaction, as if he finally understood his mistake. "Mhm. I mean, what are you? Sixteen? Seventeen?" "You're not that far apart from me."

"No No No!" that won't do Sasuke-chan your old enough to be my little brother and I'm just too mature for you.

Sasuke waves his hand dismissively before saying. "Still just a kid."

A tick mark appears on the girl's head as the brat is more persistent than she previously expected. But now he made her mad. "Ara Ara Ara, it seems I need to properly punish this little brother the error of his ways." As a rising dark aura surrounds the girl like a Shinigami.

Sasuke scoffed, resting his chin on his hand. "I don't see a problem with it."

Ayame puts her hands on her hips as she feels that she can gain control of the conversation. She gives him a teasing smile. "Oh, I *know* you don't. But I do. You're still in that 'mysterious bad boy' phase, and trust me, that wears off fast when you get older."

Sasuke leaned forward slightly. "And if I wasn't?"

She raises an eyebrow before rapidly blinking her eyes to think over what he just said. "Then maybe I'd consider humoring you."

This comment completely throws him off he falls out stool he was previously sitting in as he didn't expect this. "Wait really? I mean I'm kind of just free balling here, going in with no plan. And you'd consider me dating material."

Ayame rolls her eyes at the boy, already regretting this but decides to be honest. "Well, if you remained a Genin for the rest of your life I'd say hell no and make you quit to help out with the shop. The unpredictable job of a shinobi can pay a decent amount if you're a chunin or higher. But as a Genin you can't call it a stable income. But you come from a clan, which is like have a microphone that screams dependable, stable income. Why do you think girls chase around academy geniuses through the streets. It because their parents tell them to win the boy as he's going to be rich in the future and can take care of the family. Not to mention strong, its natural for a girl to want a guy that can protect her."

He studied her for a moment before getting up and dusting himself off. He lets out a short chuckle. "Hn. Guess I'll have to come back when I'm older, then."

Ayame smirked and leaned closer, inches away from his face, any closer and they're mouths might have touched. With Ayame doing just enough to tempt him. "You do that. But don't expect me to wait around for you, you'll have to work much harder to charm me, Uchiha."

Sasuke sat back down, still smirking. "I won't have to."

Sasuke picks up his chopsticks, and quickly finishes the ramen, ignoring how spicy it is before he speaks again. "Then I guess I'll have to come by more often."

Ayame raised an eyebrow, lips curving into a grin. "Sure, I'll hold you to that."
