Chapter 373 - Chapter 373: Tang Hao's Defeat!

"Leave now, and I will overlook your offense." Yun Ming pointed his spear directly at Tang Hao, his voice icy. "Otherwise, it will be a fight to the death!"

"Hmph!" Tang Hao sneered disdainfully. "Do you think borrowing the power of a bunch of dead people to temporarily ascend to godhood gives you the right to challenge me? Naive. I originally only intended to uproot this reckless tree, but since you're so stubborn, it seems Shrek Academy also needs a thorough cleansing!"

"Enough talk!" Yun Ming said coldly. "Since you refuse to leave willingly, I'll have to send you off myself!"

With that, Yun Ming took the initiative to strike. The Sky Piercing Divine Spear erupted with radiant light, like a blazing sun rising in the dark night. Its sharp aura transformed into countless arrows of light, raining down upon Tang Hao like a storm. Darkness retreated in its path, replaced by brilliant radiance, revealing its divine might.

A flash of anger crossed Tang Hao's eyes. The Clear Sky Hammer enlarged several times as he swung it with tremendous force. The massive hammer tore through the air, generating countless high-speed rotating vortices of pressure. As the hammer moved, these vortices merged into one colossal whirlwind, devouring all energy in its surroundings.

The radiant sun formed by the spear clashed with the whirlwind birthed from the hammer in midair. Sparks of light scattered in all directions, neither side yielding. The confrontation eventually escalated into a direct clash between the Sky Piercing Divine Spear and the Clear Sky Hammer.

Yun Ming and Tang Hao engaged in close-quarters combat in the sky. The collisions between spear and hammer resounded like thunder, echoing over Shrek Academy. The two god-level powerers exchanged blows, their battle growing increasingly intense.

"Hand That Obscures the Heavens!" Yun Ming shouted.

"Clear Sky, Tremor!" Tang Hao countered without backing down.

The Sky Piercing Spear shone brilliantly, while the Clear Sky Hammer was deep and rugged—reflecting their respective fighting styles. Yun Ming was fluid and natural, his movements seamless, while Tang Hao relied on overwhelming force to crush all resistance.

Thus, their battle grew fiercer, their movements more violent. Yun Ming unleashed the Seven Forms of Sky Piercing, while Tang Hao countered with the Nine Wonders of Clear Sky. Both fought with everything they had, neither willing to concede. At this point, the battle could no longer be ended at will—unless one side was completely defeated, neither dared to relent.

As time passed, the outcome gradually became clear. Though Tang Hao had been a god for much longer, he found himself struggling against Yun Ming, a prodigy whose talent ranked among the top three in Douluo's history. Initially, Tang Hao had the upper hand due to his accumulated strength, but as Yun Ming grew more accustomed to wielding God Power, Tang Hao began to falter, slowly losing ground.

More critically, the intense battle aggravated Tang Hao's old wounds, disrupting the flow of his God Power and weakening his attacks.

Yun Ming understood the principle of pressing the advantage against a faltering foe. His assaults grew sharper and more relentless. The Sky Piercing Divine Spear moved like a dragon—nimble, unpredictable, and overwhelmingly powerful—making it increasingly difficult for Tang Hao to defend.

"Cough!" Tang Hao staggered back, barely managing to steady himself. His face was deathly pale as he coughed violently, his eyes burning with fury. A terrifying aura brewed around him, and the Clear Sky Hammer in his hand emitted an eerie black glow.

"Great Sumeru Hammer!" he roared.

Behind Tang Hao, ten rings resembling Soul Rings flew out. These ten rings immediately began vibrating at a unique frequency, and the Clear Sky Hammer in his hand resonated with this rhythm. His aura surged explosively.

"Boom—" One of the rings detonated violently. The Clear Sky Hammer gleamed with a menacing dark light, its imposing momentum unstoppable as it smashed toward Yun Ming with overwhelming force.

Seeing this, Yun Ming immediately mustered all his strength to counter Tang Hao's strike. The Sky Piercing Divine Spear in his hand was enveloped in an esoteric layer of God Power, standing firm like an unshakable, indestructible divine pillar as it thrust toward the arrogant dark golden hammer.

The collision between the Sky Piercing Divine Spear and the Clear Sky Hammer triggered a deafening explosion. A shockwave rippled outward in a rapidly expanding ring, blotting out the sky like an apocalyptic scene.

Jing Shaoyu strained his eyes, trying to discern the outcome of this clash. Everyone around him did the same. Though they couldn't intervene in a battle of this level, they could vaguely sense its intensity. This exchange was clearly the final decisive strike between the two.

They all desperately wanted to know the result of this clash between god-level powerhouses. Every one of them hoped Yun Ming would emerge victorious.

As the shockwaves dissipated, the night returned to silence. Above Sea God Island, only one figure remained standing in the sky—spear in one hand, the other resting behind his back, exuding an aura of unrivaled supremacy.

Jing Shaoyu instinctively widened his eyes. Beside him, Gu Yue, Xu Xiaoyan, and the other girls did the same. The Inner Academy disciples around them, even the Sea God Pavilion Elders like Cai Yue'er, Zhuo Shi, and Feng Wuyu, all stared in shock.

Then—

"Sky Piercer! Sky Piercer! Sky Piercer!"

A thunderous roar erupted from the Inner Academy, soon echoed by the Outer Academy students. The cheers grew louder and more earth-shaking, eventually spreading beyond Shrek Academy itself, resonating for kilometers with the excitement and exhilaration of the moment.

Yun Ming had won.

The moment Tang Hao resolved to use Ring Detonation, he had already considered retreating. Though being defeated by a newly ascended junior was humiliating, as the Clear Sky Douluo, he was a man who knew when to bend and when to stand firm—such trivial matters meant nothing to him.

It wasn't that Tang Hao was truly no match for Yun Ming, but rather that he lacked the fighting spirit. After two millennia of carefree wandering, he no longer possessed the drive and mindset of his youth. If he fought recklessly, he could have dragged the battle out until Yun Ming exhausted his energy—but by then, the damage to his own foundation would have been far harder to heal. From Tang Hao's perspective, it simply wasn't worth it.

So he chose to retreat. To ensure Yun Ming wouldn't pursue him, he even resorted to Ring Detonation—a secret technique that would leave him severely weakened.

Tang Hao had already made up his mind. Once his injuries healed, he would make Shrek Academy regret today's decision. Until then, he needed time to recuperate in peace.

However, he wouldn't let Shrek Academy rest easy either. He planned to activate the hidden pawns he had planted during his idle years, stirring up trouble for the academy—if only to vent some of the grievances for his grandson.

Thinking of his eldest grandson, Tang Hao's resolve to leave grew even stronger. He had truly let anger cloud his judgment earlier—the most important thing was to take Wu Lin back for treatment, yet here he was, wasting time wrestling with a tree. How utterly foolish.

Wu Lin, please don't blame your grandfather!

In the end, Tang Hao departed, carrying Tang Wulin and a bellyful of frustration.

In the eyes of the Shrek students, Tang Hao had been defeated by Yun Ming.

Once Yun Ming could no longer sense Tang Hao's presence, his tightly wound nerves finally relaxed. He exhaled deeply, his face easing into a relieved expression.

With his mind and body at ease, Yun Ming's God Power dissipated, his cultivation level dropped, and he began to plummet straight toward the ground.

"Ming!" Ya Li immediately rushed forward, catching Yun Ming just in time.

"I'm fine—just exhausted," Yun Ming said, his face deathly pale but his smile radiant, his eyes especially bright. He squeezed Ya Li's hand reassuringly. "Have Lan Muzi and Tang Yinmeng evacuate the students and end tonight's event. Let Yue'er comfort the Outer Academy students. Ask Sister Yue, Feng Wuyu, and the others to extend invitations to the Tang Sect, Spirit Transfer Pagoda, and Bright City. Tell them I, Yun Ming, am prepared to share the path to godhood with them."

"Mm, I understand," Ya Li replied, her eyes brimming with concern as she nodded.

"Alright, don't be upset," Yun Ming said with a chuckle. "I'll go rest first. Once you've handled everything, bring Shaoyu to see me."

"Mm, I will." Ya Li composed herself, nodding solemnly. "Let me help you back."

"Haha, no need. I'm not so weak that I can't walk," Yun Ming said helplessly, gently shaking off her support.

"Why must you always be so stubborn!" Ya Li huffed in frustration. "Hmph, fine! Do whatever you want!"

With that, she turned and flew toward where the Elders and students were gathered.

Meanwhile, a small commotion had broken out among the disciples—one centered around someone closely connected to Jing Shaoyu.

"Mom?!" Jing Shaoyu stared in shock at Jing Ziyuan, for her transformation was truly immense.
