Chapter 383 - Chapter 383: Natural Deity!

"Scree—"

A piercing phoenix cry startled Yun Ming and Ya Li awake. Their eyes snapped open simultaneously as they leaped into the air, gazing down at the water's surface below with expressions of both joy and astonishment.

They naturally recognized the source of this phoenix cry. The robust vitality in its call indicated Leng Yaozhu was in excellent condition, which in turn meant Jing Shaoyu's chances of survival were extremely high. Both understood just how deeply Leng Yaozhu cared for Shaoyu.

That was the cause for joy.

As for the astonishment—they could clearly sense an overwhelmingly powerful aura rapidly rising from beneath the water's surface. This energy was formidable, at least not much weaker than Yun Ming himself.

"It seems Tian Feng has turned misfortune into blessing!" Yun Ming remarked with emotion. The leap from demigod to quasi-god might appear small, yet it represented an insurmountable gap for countless cultivators.

"What about A-Yu? Could he have gained something from this disaster too?" Ya Li cared little for Leng Yaozhu's condition, her concern focused solely on Jing Shaoyu.

As they spoke, a golden sphere of light emerged from the water's depths, rising swiftly until it breached the surface in a spectacular eruption. The light coalesced into a magnificent golden phoenix—its aura overwhelming, its bearing regal—as it soared into the night sky.

"Tian Feng!" Yun Ming and Ya Li called out immediately upon seeing it.

To their bewilderment, the golden phoenix paid them no heed. With powerful beats of its gilded wings, it streaked toward the Spirit Transfer Pagoda at astonishing speed, almost as if fleeing the scene.

This behavior left them deeply puzzled and filled with growing unease.

Before they could exchange thoughts, another anomaly occurred in the crater lake below.

Formed by catastrophic explosions, the lake's waters were far from clear. Suspended within were fragments of stone, metallic dust, and even clumps of polluted Heaven and Earth Essence—giving the entire body of water a murky, oily sheen under the moonlight.

Just as their worry for Jing Shaoyu peaked, countless emerald-green motes of light began emerging from the lake's depths. Each no larger than a thumbprint, these luminous particles radiated gentle warmth and carried an air of docility. Though they appeared ephemeral, their substance was remarkably dense.

Life energy seeped from these green specks, and within moments the desolate crater lake transformed into a paradise bursting with vitality.

The luminous points floated upward—breaking the water's surface, filling the air—until the first one dissolved into mist. Then simultaneously, every particle burst apart, painting the entire lakescape in jade-green luminescence.

"This is..." Yun Ming and Ya Li stared in awe. "Shaoyu?!"

Though they couldn't see Jing Shaoyu himself, those emerald lights carried his unmistakable aura. The rich life energy bore the distinct fluctuations of his unique Soul Power signature—they couldn't possibly mistake it.

Their anxious hearts finally settled as they observed the green mist's miraculous purification and transformation of the polluted lake.

Yes, these life-energy mist particles were purifying the turbidity and dust in the lake water, cleansing the gloom and malevolence from the entire lake, allowing them to undergo natural transformation and imbuing them with the breath of life—or rather, bringing them under the guidance of the Planet Spirit.

Yun Ming and Ya Li knew nothing of this, nor did they care. They only understood one thing: the negative energy that had once permeated the entire lake—the former site of Shrek Academy's Inner Court—was vanishing at an astonishing rate. This area was regaining its vitality.

This was undoubtedly a good thing.

The life mist worked with incredible efficiency. Within a quarter of an hour, the massive artificial lake was completely renewed. The water turned emerald green and crystal clear, brimming with life. A faint mist hovered over the lake's surface, refracting moonlight in a dreamy, romantic haze. As the mist dissipated, all traces of trauma and disaster vanished along with it.

Yun Ming and Ya Li exchanged glances. Had they not witnessed it firsthand, they might have thought the disappearance of Sea God Lake and Sea God Island was merely part of Shrek Academy's renovation project. The lake before them was serene and peaceful, indistinguishable from the former Sea God Lake—no, even more beautiful than before.

They could clearly see lush green plants growing in clusters across the lakebed, with small fish darting among the aquatic grass. The crater that had resembled a hellscape just hours ago had now become a cradle for life. Such a stark contrast filled Yun Ming and Ya Li with awe.

Could such miraculous power truly be the work of Jing Shaoyu? What kind of divine fortune had this child encountered?

As a Limit Douluo with life attributes, Ya Li understood better than anyone the difficulty of achieving this. At her current level, she couldn't accomplish such a feat—it involved the application of the Law of Life.

Reviving barren land, making plants and even animals emerge—such things were still far too advanced for Douluo Continent. Thus, both Yun Ming and Ya Li were utterly astonished.

Yet, the transformation wasn't over.

Suddenly, the lakebed began to shift and undulate, sending intermittent ripples across the previously calm surface. At the lake's center, a large area of water bubbled and churned as an island rose steadily, displacing the water without any flashy effects or complex changes. It simply ascended and floated into place—an island twice the size of the original Sea God Island now stood before Yun Ming and Ya Li.

The lakebed's topography became more orderly with the island's emergence.

"Moving mountains and filling seas..." Yun Ming murmured.

The newly emerged island was bare and flat, forming a perfect circle. At its center lay a smaller lake—also circular, with a diameter of about ten meters—but its water was fundamentally different from the main lake's.

The outer lake's water was ordinary, while the inner lake's water brimmed with pure life energy, a true lake of life. Clearly, the two bodies of water were not connected.

The inner lake's waters were calm and unrippled, like a flawless piece of pure jade. Three feet above the lake's surface, a golden light about two meters long hovered, resembling a crack splitting through space. The golden radiance was condensed and solid, thick and heavy like a door.

"That is..." Yun Ming and Ya Li immediately noticed the golden light. Yun Ming's eyes flickered as he quickly said, "Let's go take a closer look!"

The two flew straight toward the island, landing by the inner lake to observe the golden door up close. The spatial laws emanating from the golden light were exquisitely intricate, and both of them gained many insights from observing it.

"Is this an independent space inside? Then A-Yu must be in there?" Ya Li exclaimed joyfully.

"Most likely," Yun Ming nodded, though his gaze fell on the small lake beneath the golden light.

This small lake was only fifty or sixty meters deep, incomparable to the outer lake's depths of over a thousand meters. At the bottom of the small lake grew a vibrant green sapling, just two meters tall. Through the water, the veins on its leaves and the patterns on its branches could be clearly seen.

"The Golden Tree?!" Yun Ming cried out in astonishment, his face breaking into an ecstatic smile.

"It really is the Golden Tree!" Ya Li also noticed the sapling at the lake's bottom and was equally overjoyed. "Wonderful, it's still here!"

While Yun Ming and Ya Li rejoiced over the Golden Tree, inside the mysterious space within the golden light, Jing Shaoyu finally completed his final movements. All the strange phenomena returned to his body, and he slowly opened his eyes, emitting a three-foot-long divine glow.

"Ah!" He stood up, waving his hand as a new set of clothes covered his body. Yet he let out a soft sigh. He never imagined that the first blood drawn by his sword, sealed away for eighteen years, would be his own teacher's.

He never thought that while in Douluo, he would experience a plotline akin to the Flame Emperor and Martial Ancestor. This was truly a bitter pill to swallow.

Leng Yaozhu rushed out of the mysterious space the moment she regained consciousness. There was no denying she intended to flee—she had no idea how to handle this situation, how to face Jing Shaoyu, or how their master-disciple relationship would proceed from here.

So, she could only play the deserter this once.

Jing Shaoyu was also deeply troubled. He admitted that he had harbored some improper thoughts about Leng Yaozhu, but he had never intended to act on them. Leng Yaozhu was the continent's most beautiful woman—it was only human nature to have such thoughts, and Jing Shaoyu was no exception. But now that fantasy had become reality, far from bringing him joy, it filled him with helplessness and frustration.

For now, he could only bury this frustration deep in his heart—because he had more pressing matters to attend to.

Facing the terrifying power of the twelfth-ranked Fixed Soul Guided Cannon Shell, the Golden Tree chose to sacrifice itself, releasing all its energy. This energy split into three parts: one to resist the energy storm of the God-Slaying Soul Missile, one to create the mysterious protective space where Jing Shaoyu now stood—this green-golden space.

As for the third and most crucial part, it was used to help Jing Shaoyu elevate his origin and awaken his Divine Blood.

Elevating his origin allowed the dormant Star Spirit Origin within Jing Shaoyu to awaken; awakening his divine blood unsealed the God King Bloodline concealed within him. The completion of these two events created an insurmountable gap between the current Jing Shaoyu and his former self—a fundamental, qualitative difference.

The Golden Tree's sacrifice granted Jing Shaoyu an immense boost in cultivation. His Soul Power now stood at the peak of the 79th rank, a direct increase of thirteen levels. Had he not exercised restraint, reaching the 89th rank would have been effortless. However, doing so would have left him lacking in tempering, leaving an unsettling void in his heart.

Though he did not absorb all this energy himself, none of it was wasted. His three Soul Spirits each reaped tremendous benefits, breaking through to new realms.

With a thought, seven Soul Rings materialized around him. The first six were the unmistakable orange-gold rings unique to Ferocious Beast Soul Spirits. As for the seventh, it was a pure golden ring, radiating divine majesty—impossible to ignore.

This golden Soul Ring naturally came from the Golden Tree. But beyond this God-level Soul Ring, the Golden Tree also left Jing Shaoyu with a Soul Bone, already perfectly fused within his body.

The Soul Bone bestowed by the Golden Tree was a skull bone—the Nature Spirit Skull. It granted him no Soul Skills but instead flooded him with vast spiritual energy, elevating his mental power directly from the Spirit Abyss Realm to the Spirit Domain Realm. His spiritual force surged from just under 20,000 points to 49,999—a single point shy of the Divine Origin Realm.

The Divine Origin Realm was a prerequisite for godhood. In the current Soul Master world of Douluo Continent, only Yun Ming had reached this level—no, now there was one more: Leng Yaozhu, whose spiritual power had also ascended to the Divine Origin Realm.

At the thought of Leng Yaozhu, Jing Shaoyu couldn't help but let out a bitter smile.

The Nature Spirit Skull granted Jing Shaoyu the innate ability to convert life energy into spiritual energy, allowing his mental power to grow unimpeded by bottlenecks within known realms. This meant that with sufficient life energy, he could elevate his spiritual power all the way to the God King Realm.

"Let's go. Time for the final transformation outside," he murmured softly, a glimmer of anticipation flashing in his eyes.

Jing Shaoyu took a step forward. In the next instant, a surge of vibrant life energy swirled beneath his feet, and his appearance underwent a dramatic change. A pair of crystalline white wings unfurled from his back, their gilded patterns depicting the principles of nature. A solemn Natural God Halo rose behind his head, while a mystical vertical eye opened on his forehead. Intricate golden runes shimmered across his cheeks as an aura of sacred nobility radiated from him, making him resemble a deity descended upon the mortal world.

The Origin Elf Soul—now, it should be called the Natural God Spirit Soul—had finally revealed its true form after the awakening of his origin and divine blood.

The Wings of Origin evolved into Natural God Wings.

The Crown of Nature evolved into the Natural God Halo.

The Eye of Dao and Dharma evolved into the Natural God Eye.

The Staff of Stars evolved into the Natural God Staff.

As for the Heart of Eternity—it had another purpose.

Lifting his right hand, he pointed into the void, and a portal instantly materialized. With a sweep of his Natural God Wings, Jing Shaoyu shot through the gateway, leaving the golden space created by the Golden Tree and returning to the primary plane.

Yun Ming and Ya Li were overjoyed at the survival of the Golden Tree when the golden light above the inner lake parted, transforming into a doorway. Immediately after, a figure rushed out from the portal and hovered in mid-air. Both instantly recognized who it was, and Ya Li cried out excitedly, "Shaoyu!"

At that moment, Jing Shaoyu was holding a slender silver staff adorned with golden patterns. The two-meter-long staff was perfectly proportioned, with a transparent orb embedded at its tip and a conical base. Golden divine runes were inscribed along its surface, exuding both elegance and profound mystery—this was the Natural God Staff.

Hearing Ya Li's call, Jing Shaoyu lowered his head and flashed her a gentle smile. Then, raising the Natural God Staff high, he spread his wings wide as seven Soul Rings circled behind him. His eyes blazed with intense prismatic radiance before his body erupted with emerald-gold light, forming a ring that enveloped the entire lake.

What followed was a sight they would never forget.

Barren land sprouted lush green blades of grass, rising like bamboo shoots after rain. In the blink of an eye, the grass grew into saplings, then into towering trees—a forest materialized out of thin air on the island, filling the empty shores of the lake.

The crisp scent and earthy fragrance of plants made Yun Ming and Ya Li feel as though they had stepped into another world. The power Jing Shaoyu displayed surpassed their comprehension. Even Yun Ming couldn't fathom how to explain such a miracle. If forced to describe it, only one word came to mind—Creator.

And for Jing Shaoyu in that moment, the term was fitting indeed.

The Domain of All Things Growth—the awakened ability Jing Shaoyu attained upon reaching Soul Saint—was a diluted manifestation of the Planet Spirit's authority. Within this domain, all life underwent accelerated evolution, their very essence rapidly advancing and transforming.

Just like the changes on the lake's island, the natural progression of evolution had been sped up tenfold. In mere minutes, barren land had transformed into a dense, thriving jungle.

More importantly, the Domain of All Things Growth was an irreversible, permanent effect. Everything nurtured within it became an authentic, inseparable part of the planet—this was the true embodiment of the Planet Spirit's dominion!

Within the Domain of All Things Growth, Jing Shaoyu was the absolute Creator. The evolution of the crater lake, the transformation of the island—all were his handiwork. Even the Golden Tree sapling in the inner lake was the result of him planting and nurturing the seeds left behind by the original Golden Tree.

He could command all things to flourish—or wither away at his will.
