Stupidly, very stupidly, my eyes searched for Benecio amongst the sea of students. I knew we took management together therefore there was no way he couldn't be here since he had been back for a week. We didn't hang around the same circle of friends, I knew that too but I desperately needed to be around a familiar face when everyone was snapping pictures of me wherever I passed.
"Are you looking for someone?" Jay asked me as we waited outside the auditorium. Ramon was inspecting it for dangers. I didn't know what dangers since who in their right minds would want to hurt me, he clearly took his job far too seriously.
"Um just Benecio, do you know if he's coming today?"
Jay spoke into his earpiece in Portuguese and waited for a second before he seemed to get confirmation. "He'll be here in ten minutes. Shall I ask his security to inform him you're looking for him?"
