Yuan Xi slowly fell asleep while Huo Shiyuan was softly recounting their childhood tales.
By the time Yuan Xi woke up, the day had already brightened.
She went to the bathroom and heard the sound of water.
The water stopped, and Huo Shiyuan, dressed in a bathrobe, came out and pulled Yuan Xi into his arms, saying, "It seems that bedtime stories are quite effective. You fell asleep quickly last night. We can tell them to Lele and An An before bedtime."
Yuan Xi looked up at Huo Shiyuan with a light laugh, "Should I tell Lele and An An how their dad clung to the big tree at the village entrance, crying with a runny nose, not wanting to leave?"
Huo Shiyuan bowed his head and lightly flicked Yuan Xi's nose, "You're not allowed to tell that, and I only cried, no runny nose."
Yuan Xi smiled, "You finally admit that you cried."
The two of them dallied in the bathroom for quite some time.
