"Ebizo, come out!"
Chiyo's voice was cold.
"I'm here!"
With a flash, an elderly man with a kind expression appeared.
"Is what Naruto-kun said true?"
Chiyo turned and questioned him.
Ebizo silently nodded. He looked at Naruto and his pupils began to tremble.
His actions had been very discreet, and he had only started moving once he realized Naruto was not outside. He never expected that even with such caution, he could not escape Naruto's observation.
'Could it be true that he really has the ability to foresee the future?'
'How is this possible?'
But with the evidence before him, he had no choice but to believe it.
"Hurry and get your people out of here!"
Chiyo snorted coldly.
From her conversation with Sasori, she had learned that Sasori had gone to the Soul Society to see his parents. Although such things seemed absurd, based on Sasori's description of various details about his parents, details that he had never seen before, and some of these details were known only to Chiyo herself.
This ruled out the possibility that Naruto had used Genjutsu to create an illusion for Sasori.
Even the Shinigami bowed to Naruto, so such an existence might very well have the ability to foresee the future.
Otherwise, how could a mere twelve or thirteen-year-old boy have such extraordinary achievements?
This was why Chiyo was respectful when addressing Naruto.
In the Shinobi World, the strong are always respected.
With Naruto's strength, he had earned Chiyo's respect.
Watching Ebizo go off to handle things, Naruto nodded in satisfaction, "Those who know the times are the true heros. As expected of Granny Chiyo. As a reward, even after Sasori's mission is over, he can still stay by your side. That way, you won't have to wait for death anymore. Enjoy your old age."
"What? Grandma, you're waiting for death? Why?"
Sasori was confused.
Naruto explained, "The resentment toward foreign villages and the anxiety about her own village had long been deeply rooted in Chiyo's heart. Since your departure, it was like the last straw that broke the camel's back, causing her to be deeply affected and overwhelmed. She simply gave up, spending her days fishing with Ebizo, waiting for death to come."
"Sasori, what he said isn't true. Don't listen to him!"
Chiyo tried to defend herself.
Naruto added, "My eyes can not only see the future, but also a person's past."
Upon hearing this, Chiyo fell silent.
Indeed, Naruto had seen through her thoughts. The reason she wanted to refute him was only to prevent Sasori from feeling guilty.
"Sasori, your selfishness caused a lot of regret, but it's not too late to make amends now. You've seen it yourself… Chiyo has sacrificed so much for you, even at the cost of herself. So you must reflect deeply on your actions. Don't let Chiyo down. After all, blood is thicker than water. She is your only close relative in this world!"
Naruto intentionally exposed the wounds, not to mock Sasori, but to make him fully understand the truth. Only with this deep understanding could Sasori truly make amends to Chiyo.
By choosing to recruit members of the Akatsuki as his subordinates, Naruto not only wanted his subordinates to become stronger in strength, but also to be healthy and complete emotionally, so that he could be a good and responsible boss.
"Thank you for enlightening me, Naruto-kun. I will take good care of Grandma."
Sasori said seriously. He only hated himself for being a puppet and had no tears to shed.
"Naruto-kun, thank you!"
Chiyo also said sincerely.
She held a high position in the ninja world and was respected by many, yet there were still things she felt powerless to change.
Most importantly, she couldn't save her son and daughter-in-law, nor could she give Sasori the proper upbringing he deserved.
However, Naruto had helped Sasori accomplish both, letting him met his parents in the Soul Society and resolved his inner turmoil.
For this, Chiyo had no way to repay him. After all, in her eyes, Naruto's power and abilities were already beyond everything she knew of. She couldn't offer him anything more. If anything, the best she could do was wish him a safe and peaceful life.
Although it didn't serve much practical purpose, this was her most sincere blessing.
Not only that, as long as it was within Sunagakure, Chiyo would do her best to fulfill Naruto's requests.
For example: "Naruto-kun, I will work with my younger brother Ebizo to resist any opposition and support Gaara's rise to power!"
"With your words, I'm at ease."
Naruto nodded in satisfaction.
Indeed, his involvement in this matter was not only for Sasori's sake but also for Gaara's.
Although Gaara was now the Kazekage, there was a great deal of opposition within the village, and it stemmed from their fear in Gaara.
Chiyo and Ebizo are both important figures in Sunagakure, and they are also high-ranking advisors. Therefore, as long as these two supported Gaara, they could unite the people and quell the voices of dissent.
Watching Chiyo and Sasori leave the Kazekage's Office, Kankuro and Temari bowed deeply to Naruto: "Thank you, Naruto-kun!"
They weren't fools and clearly understood the positive impact Naruto's actions had on Gaara.
Naruto turned to look at Gaara.
Gaara waved his hand at Kankuro and Temari, then said, "Get up, it's fine, we're family, there's no need for formalities."
Upon hearing this, Naruto was very satisfied, 'That's how it should be with brothers, help when needed, no need for unnecessary politeness.'
In his eyes, Gaara had truly overcome his previous isolation and self-doubt, even to the point of being a little too confident.
But that was a good thing. No need to suppress it and just let Gaara be bold. After all, if anything went wrong, Naruto would clean up the mess.
"Alright, it's getting late. Temari, please arrange a place for us to stay."
After enduring two major battles in one day, though Naruto hadn't participated directly, giving blessings to everyone and keeping track of everyone's safety still worn him out, so he needed a good rest.
"Please follow me!"
Temari led Naruto away from the room, with Kisame, Itachi, and Deidara following behind.
The door to the Kazekage's Office had excellent soundproofing, and those outside could barely hear any noise from inside.
However, with his heightened hearing and Observation Haki, Naruto clearly heard the conversation inside the office.
He overheard Kankuro asking, "Gaara, your attitude isn't right. Naruto-kun has been so kind to you, so why haven't you even said a word of thanks?"
Gaara sighed and said, "Naruto-kun has been too good to me. I've thanked him so many times already. To me, saying it again doesn't matter. As long as Naruto-kun faces any difficulties, I will always be at the front, giving everything to help him, even if it means dying to protect him!!"
Click!
Hearing this, Naruto, who is already outside the Kazekage's Office, stumbled slightly, 'I had thought Gaara had become overly arrogant, but it seemed that Gaara's burden had actually become heavier.'
Still, Naruto didn't mind. His strength was growing stronger by the day, and he no longer needed anyone to shield him. Gaara's determination to protect him was enough, and as for repaying Naruto, well, that could wait until the next life…
