"Victor, Jinx," Kyla-el said, "you're the spine. Communications, energy, counter-intel. If someone gets into our systems, I want them caught inside like a fly in amber. Bumblebee, support."
Victor's smile showed one tooth. "Say please."
"Please," Kyla-el said, and the table chuckled.
"Harley," Kyla-el added, "I want you where the people are. The places that fray first. Hospitals, shelters, and the neighbourhoods that feel forgotten. Keep them laughing. Keep them angry at the right targets. We need morale as much as we need muscle."
Harley saluted with her fork. "On it, boss lady. Crowd control, huh? And I get to form my own henchmen and women? Why the fuck not? Does that mean I am allowed to be the only established crime boss in Gotham? Does that? Pwease???"
"… Sure thing, Harley. Huntress, Donna, note that down for Gotham going forward. I know I said keep Gotham the way Dark left it, but support Harley in this endeavor, every action counts to what I am about to tell you all." Kyla-el said as she turned to Huntress, who was basically given charge over Gotham's affairs after their goddess took over it.
"Understood." Donna replied.
"Oh, and also here in Jump City, too, Victor, Harley's gonna need some meat shields. I know Jump City is clean, but that doesn't mean the prisons are and that you can't let a few people just somehow and miraculously escape your security system, only to get saved by Harley's gang that offers them asylum in Gotham that will return to its former state of crime infestation." Kyla-el turned to Victor at her left, who only nodded in agreement.
"But Harley staring crime again in Gotham… that's… till we get our goddess back, right?" Huntress protested.
'Glad she still sees her like her goddess… Although… let's leave that for now.' Kyla thought.
"Of course." Kyla-el replied as a matter of fact.
Huntress relaxed on her seat with a sigh and turned her eye to Harley.
"I'll be watching, you clown slut!" Huntress pointed.
"Yeah, that's what you do best while everyone got fucked by that thick grey cock!" Harley countered.
"Fucking--"
"She got you there. Even this pussy got stretched." Catwoman purred as she took another sip of her wine.
"Enchantress," Kyla-el cleared her throat for attention and finished, "you're our fire extinguisher. If something cosmic or magical breaks through or something hellish crawls up in Harley's Batgirl or Catwoman's end, you put it back where it belongs. You are their hidden card."
Enchantress smiled with all her teeth. "Gladly."
Kyla-el let the map sink back into the roof.
"Now enough with the feel-good stuff… tell us what we are really preparing for, the whole story behind this, what we are up against and our odds of retrieving… Rav—Dark." Poison Ivy sighed while keeping a sharp gaze on Kyla-el's glowing form.
"I'm getting there. That's the hold," Kyla-el said as she sighed. "…Now the fetch. You'll soon know why I mostly need Victor's help in this one."
She touched the table, and a new shape rose: nine points arranged like a loose halo, each a slightly different color. They pulsed slowly, like breaths.
"But first, let me explain to you why and what brought me here." Kyla said as she closed her eyes, and suddenly, everyone on the rooftop except Kyla-el groaned in pain for a few seconds while grabbing their heads for dear life, but soon calmed down.
"Fuuckkkk…. Not this again." Victor said as he leaned on the table and covered his face with his palms.
"I knew it. You Titans have dealt with this before. But not on this level." Kyla-el sighed.
"Damn… Wonderwoman really front-stabbbed Raven, talk about pulling a Judas!" Harley commented after rubbing her temples. Apparently, Kyla-el had shared her memories with everyone present, and they could see and feel the memories as if they were there themselves.
"Dark, you mean and nah, it's more like pulling a Lex," Enchantress added.
"Damn… that chair guy… Metron was it? He just appeared, and everything went to shit." Batgirl said with a clenched fist.
"Easy there, sailor! I didn't know you could sail." Huntress teased Batgirl; hearing her swear was always funny to her.
"Goodness… It's like her soul was shattered." Jinx gasped.
"That's not it really…" Victor said softly.
"Raven's soul didn't shatter exactly, just like Victor said." Kyla-el said. "It… externalized. Emotions given bodies and power. They went out. We've felt them." She flicked two fingers, and the pink point flared. Harley made a tiny oh with her mouth and nodded hard. The red one pulsed next; Donna's jaw tightened. Others popped in order: yellow, green, violet, gray, white, orange, blue.
"They're not friendly so far," Kyla-el said. "And they're not weak. We've already been cut. We'll get cut again. But if we bring them in, we have a chance to make her whole. If we don't, they'll keep tearing at the universe until someone worse than us steps in to end it."
"Like who?" Huntress asked.
"People with chairs that see too much and have too much say. Cosmic entities." Kyla-el said, and for the first time, her voice had a burr of anger in it. She smoothed it away. "Or boys who smash planets because they woke up hungry." She was referring to an alternate version of herself that was otherwise known as Superboy Prime, who owed a favour to Metron.
No one asked for names. They didn't need them. Something else occupied their minds.
"Last time I checked, we aren't that powerful to be going up against threats like that. I can understand why you'd say you needed Victor the most, given how much powerful he has grown, but even he isn't that powerful. And even if he was and we were, how do we track them?" Batgirl asked, practical as always. "Tech? Magic?"
"Both," Kyla-el said. "You see, Victor right now has even more ability to understand ancient technology than I, and that's why I need him. Luckily, he possesses a motherbox; he only needs to master it, and we can hatch our plan." Kyla-el said as she glanced at Victor.
But you have a motherbox and are even more powerful than Victor, what could he possibly do that you can't?" Batgirl pressed on.
"Surely you've heard the phrase, 'Knowledge is power'. Victor plays a crucial role in my plan to retrieve our goddess." Kyla-el said as she gave a soft nod to Victor.
"Still… we aren't powerful enough to stop such threats, and with the way you've been sounding, it doesn't seem like the emoticlons are the only problem." Huntress said as she peeled an orange before her.
Victor sighed once more and raised his head, "Blackfire is back and stronger than ever. She… is the biggest obstacle moving forward."
As Kyla-el tightened her fist, the whole table could hear it creak, it seemed that finally, they had hit the nail in the coffin.
"I will tell you this. Over the course of Dark's reign as goddess and the feats she had accomplished, taking over multiple galaxies with ease and leaving this for last, destroying and making any gods or demons submit before her… all of these were amazing to see. My harem sisters and I all grew in strength too, and rather fast too, just as she." Kyla-el began as she tried to steady her breathing.
At this point, everyone was already tense, what more could be getting someone as powerful as Kyla-el even more tense.
"As much as we make plans and whatnot. I can't hope to defeat Blackfire. The least I can do is grab her attention and take her far from here. She has become a white lantern. Dark wanted to take her out but also wanted to do it slowly… if only…" Kyla-el paused as she waited for any questions.
"She is in tune with all life, and life is in tune with her. Honestly, the safest bet would be to kill all of you and make you into undead so as to resist her control over you, because once she moves, it's over. It all becomes moot."
I am sure no one expected this twist. No one expected Blackfire to be introduced like this, a rogoue crown princesss on the run and slayer of lanterns, turned into an all powerful white lantern.
